I work in publishing, and Chris Jericho's book deal was announced on the deal sheet Publisher's Marketplace. It read as follows:
"Former WWE Champion and lead singer of "Fozzy" Chris Jericho's A LION'S TALE, about his formative years in the wrestling business, and how he went from being the only blonde Canadian in Mexico to a wrestling star, to Jason Pinter at Warner in a good deal by Marc Gerald at the Agency Group."
For the record, Marc Gerald is also 50 Cent's literary agent. Warner Books has published such recent hits at Jon Stewart and the Daily Show's AMERICA (the Book) and Billy Crystal's 700 SUNDAYS. Jason Pinter has edited lots of pop culture titles, like the current hit FESTIVUS by Allen Salkin and Jerry Stiller and has bought books by well-known blogger Paul Davidson and a book based on the popular off-Broadway play JEWTOPIA, among others.
