Earlier this year when RAW was live from the Mohegan Sun hotel and casino, former WWE superstar Chris "Tatanka" Chavis made his first appearance on WWE programming in a decade. Shortly after his brief return, he posted a note on his website claiming that he had been offered a contract by WWE. While it seemed a bit 'out there' at the time, it appears Chavis will in fact be returning to WWE in some capacity later this month.
WWE has announced the card for a house show later this month on December 28th that features Tatanka. He is scheduled to be teaming up with Shelton Benjamin to take on Carlito and Jonathan Coachman in a special tag team match.
This past week, former Undisputed WWE Champion Chris Jericho signed a book deal to write his memoirs. MTV.com picked up on the story and write:
"Former WWE champion and Fozzy lead singer Chris Jericho has just signed a book deal to write his memoir. The book, called "A Lion's Tale," will focus on his formative years in the wrestling business."
Jericho is currently not under WWE contract and is persuing work in the entertainment industry - performing with his band Fozzy, working for VH1 on the show "Best Week Ever", auditioning for acting roles and now writing his book.
His website has been known for trying to work the Internet wrestling fans. When he left WWE after SummerSlam, he posted a graphic of himself in front of a TNA logo, hinting he might be jumping ship. Earlier this week, he posted a graphic stating, "Chris Jericho: New RAW General Manager?". Despite his latest gag, Jericho is not expected to return to WWE anytime soon.
