Match 1) Chavo Guerrero def. Rob Conway
Good match, big "Eddie" and "Chavo" chants. Chavo hits a Tornado DDT, then
the Frogspash for the win.
Match 2) Snitsky & Tyson Tomko def. Heart Throbs
Heart Throbs were announced as from Fort Myers but, aren't they from Panama
City? Anyway, Heart Throbs play the faces but a lot of the crowd actual cheers
for Snitsky & Tomko. Snitsky & Tomko hit big boots to both of the Heart Throbs
for the win.
Match 3) Lance Cade def. Matt Striker
Striker comes out and gets cheap heat by insulting Fort Myers and Florida in
general. Cade comes out playing the face. Match doesn't last long, because
Striker gets injured. Striker was back-body dropped over the top rope and must
have misjudged and landed right on the top of the guardrail legs first. He was
down for a while, the ref gave the X signal but Cade brings Striker back in,
pounds on him some, then pins him. EMT's came out with a stretcher, as did two
refs and a WWE doctor but Striker left on his own power. It looked like his
shoulder was separated.
This is the second time in as many event that a Superstar as been injured in
Fort Myers. Last year, Carlito separated his shoulder in Fort Myers.
Match 4) Ken Doane def. Danny Basham
Doane is playing a male cheerleader and came out with a former TNA wrestler
(cannot remember his name). Decent match, nothing to write home about though.
Match 5) Trish Stratus & Ashley def. Torrie Wilson & Candice Michelle with
Jerry Lawler as special ref.
Lawler has a house in Fort Myers so he's almost at every RAW house show here.
King led us all in singing Happy Birthday to Trish Stratus, but Candice and
Torrie attacked Ashley and Trish before the song could be finished. Candice
goes to clothesline Trish, Trish does the MaTrish, then the Chick Kick for the
win.
Afterwards Trish and Ashley pull down Torrie's tights and spank her, then
they do the same to Candice.
Next was Carlito's Cabana with Jack Brisco. Carlito asked questions and
wouldn't let Jack speak. Carlito goes to spit an apple in Jack's face but Jack
punches Carlito.
15-Minute Intermission
Match 6) Trevor Murdoch def. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton was over big. Murdoch not so much. Too short in my opinion. Shelton
hits all of his spots. He then goes for the Stinger Splash but the ref is in
the corner so Shelton jumps on the second rope to evade the ref. Murdoch rolls
Shelton up from the second rope and puts his feet on the ropes for the win.
Match 7) Shawn Michaels & Ric Flair def. Triple H & "The Masterpiece" Chris
Masters
Match of the night by far. Before the match, some chick flashes Triple H,
Hunter says "Ya gotta show Naitch." Flair comes out, the chick flashes Flair,
Flair smiles. Security told the chick to stop flashing their was kids in the
audience, but the WWE security came over to hep her out and said that Triple H
told her to. Also, Masters and Hunter's tights were pulled down. Both wrestled
for about 5 minutes with their asses exposed. HBK hit Sweet Chin Music on
Masters for the win. I've been a fan of Shawn's since his Rocker days and this was
the first time I go to see him live so I'm happy.
Match 8) John Cena def. Kurt Angle w/ Daivari in a Street Fight
Decent match, tag match should have been the main event though. Angle goes to
hit Cena with a chair as Daivari is holding Cena. Cena moves, Angle hits
Daivari with the chair. Cena hits the FU for the win.
Cena then put over Fort Myers, and the Tribute to the Troops show on RAW.
Really good show with a REALLY hot crowd. Attendance was actually really good.
The arena was about 80% full. I think it's time that Fort Myers gets TV though.
