WWE & Dish Network Offer The Royal Rumble Retro Edition

Adam Lebow sent in the following:

Dish Network customers, are able to get a Free Preview of the Royal Rumble Retro, which is advertising the Dish Network Road to Wrestlemania Package for $88.50. The package includes New Years Revolution, Royal Rumble and No Way Out.

Anyways, some of the highlights of the Royal Rumble Retro include Pat Patterson explaining the concept behind the Rumble, The first Royal Rumble prior to it becoming a PPV (when Hasksaw won), 1990 when Hogan eliminated Perfect (with a highlight on Hogan and Warrior), Benoit eliminating Big Show on route to Mania XX (and they show him with his Post Mania XX celebration, sans-Guerrero), Austin winning the 97 Rumble as well as the 98 Rumble.

They keep on pushing Mania XII, Rumble and the Dish Network package on the channel. Worth a watch...

Two Updates now that I have watched the entire thing.

1) They have an unbelievable montage that they better show at the end of the PPV on Sunday for the build of The Royal Rumble. It goes for about 5 minutes and is perhaps the best piece of work WWE has put together in the last year. It shows every single Royal Rumble moment, the onest hat we want to remember, so no Drew
Carey. It has everything and it is just a beautiful piece of work from start until finish, including many Royal Rumble finishes, spots in the middle where we see 'friends' go at it (HBK/Disel, Demoltion face off) as well as surprise eliminations (Maven eliminates Taker) and post match promos (Ric Flair's greated
promo of all time from 92, 'with a tear in my eye'). The end shows a bunch of current WWE superstars who may be in the Rumble this year, including the Boogyman.

2) Josh Mathews goes and says at the end, the winner of the Rumble is always a future WWE Hall of Famer. While for the most part he is right, I dont see Lex Lugar, Yoko and if things stand how they are Lesnar getting into the Hall of fame....
