The official SmackDown! page on the WWE.com website now lists Kurt Angle as the WWE Heavyweight Champion. The site has listed Angle as such for a few days but has not been reported because it would have spoiled this week’s edition of SmackDown.
This week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown on the UPN network did a 3.2 fast rating with a 5 share. The final number is expected to be released at the beginning of next week and it is expected that the show will do over a 3.0 rating for the second week in a row.
The Miami Herald ran a story reporting that WWE legend Hulk Hogan was spotted this past Monday in Miami shooting a music video.
The following tidbit contains potential storyline spoilers concerning WWE SmackDown! and the WWE Heavyweight Title, read at your own risk… WWE has announced a Fatal 4 Way World Heavyweight Title Match at the Valentines Day SmackDown taping on February 14th in Norfolk, VA to be Kurt Angle defending the belt against Randy Orton, Mark Henry and The Undertaker. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale for that event on Saturday, January 21st at 10 am.
