WWE posted a job listing Friday for a “"VP, Interactive Programming" in order to oversee the content and coverage on WWE.com. They want someone with at least 15 years of experience in the field and wrote they expect the position to be filled by someone that will "manage the day-to-day production of all written online content including scripts, editorial, blogs, headlines, photo captions, promos, advertising/marketing materials, etc. for WWE.com. This role will also be responsible for the development of creative writing styles and accompanying style guides. Additionally it will oversee the formulation of content plans, creation and management of editorial schedules, development of distinctive tone and voice for editorial packages and site sections."
They have also listed a job for a "Creative Director to manage WWE.com" where they also want someone with at least 15 years of experience. The posting reads, "This role will direct broadband/narrowband content, commerce, and mobile offerings. It will also oversee information architecture, page/template design, art direction and other elements including print advertising, poster design, in-venue signage, etc. The Creative Director is expected to formulate design concepts and presentation approaches as well as HTML prototyping. World Wrestling Entertainment desires someone who understands the implications surrounding pictures of words and how JavaScript and Flash impact business."
This is certainly an indication that there will be major changes to WWE.com.
