WWE Live Event Results (6/19/15) - Saginaw, MI

Thanks to rajah.com reader Tom Skulley for sending this in!

Ring Announcer was Tony Chimel.

1. Bo Dallas vs Neville

Bo Dallas cut a long promo to start the show stating despite the fact that we live
in a disgusting city there is still hope for us if we just BO LIEVE.

Neville performed a few gymnastic moves that I had not seen before on television
that got the crowd going. As you would expect Dallas tried to slow the pace down
and the pace picked up when Neville went on offense. Match ended with Neville
winning with the Red Arrow.

2. The Miz and Heath Slater vs Curtis "Hogan" Axel and Damien "Macho Man" Sandow.

The Miz was the first out announcing that everyone came to see the movie star and
not to see his former stunt double Damien Sandow. The Miz is still great at
generating heat.

Slater came out with the same music gimmick and some people werent' sure who he was.
Axel and Sandow came out to a nice pop and had the same Hogan/Savage props-ring
gear they have on television. Heels worked over Sandow pretty good with the old
school referee distraction which it is 2 on 1 in the heel corner. Ending came
with Axel getting the hot tag and dropping the leg on Slater while Miz/Sandow
brawled outside.

3. Emma and Alicia Fox vs Summer Rae and Cameron

Layla special guest referee

I am a fan of the divas but this match was terrible. Many botched spots. Summer
Rae and Cameron were the heels and had the mirror gimmick with them. Lot of
punches and drop kicks that the ladies were selling that were not close to landing.
Alicia Fox "hit" Summer Rae with a scissors kick that missed by 6 inches for the
pin.

4. King Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler

Best match of the night. Both men worked very hard here. Ziggler took a lot of
nasty bumps, one of which was against the ring steps. Lot of near falls including
Barrett hitting wasteland. After at least 20 minutes, Barrett grabbed the mic and
said we should kneel down and bow to the king. At this point, R Truth came out
with a plunger, a makeshift crown, and cape made out of a towel. He proclaimed to
be King What's Up and led the crowd in What's up chants. This was followed by
Ziggler hitting the Zig Zag on a distracted Barrett for the win.

Intermission

5. Erik Rowan vs Cesaro

Cesaro started the match as the heel but was the babyface by the end. Kind of a
slow match with a lot of old school wrestling moves you don't see much anymore.
Rowan is not a bad worker, but needs to be back with Bray and Harper. Ending was
Cesaro doing the Cesaro swing after about 5 revolutions. After that, put Rowan in a
submission move (can't remember which one) and Rowan tapped out after about 12-15
minutes.

6 WWE Tag Team Championship

New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) w/Xavier Woods vs. Prime Time Players

It was nice to see the PTP get a high card spot after being non-existent on
television for so long. Darren Young has really stepped up his work outs and is in
tremendous shape. During the match some idiot fan jumped over the railing and
stood next to Titus on the apron like he was part of the match. Titus grabbed him
by the shirt and threw him off before Security jumped in and escorted him out. All
4 guys worked hard here and of course Xavier interferred to try and give New Day an
advantage. Lots of Gator chants for Titus. Ending came with Titus hitting Kofi
with that powerbomb finisher.

7. Main Event Steel Cage Match for the United States Championship

John Cena vs Kane

In my 32 years of attending pro wrestling shows, this was my first cage match in
person. Cage was lowered down from the ceiling like on Raw which was cool to see.
Kane was dressed as Corporate Kane. Cena came out to the biggest pop of the night
and shook my hand on the way to the ring asking how I was doing. Awesome.

I was surprised to hear the dual Let's Go Cena/Cena Sucks chants at a house show,
but they were audible. Not a lot of drama in this match which was disappointing.
Cena hit the AA with Kane who bumped the referee and was knocked out so could not
count 3. He came to and Kane delivered the choke slam. Cena kicked out of course.
Ending was Cena climbing over the top of the cage and Kane trying to escape the
door. It was on the same side so Cena kicked the door shut on Kane as he was trying
to escape. Cena then leaped to the arena floor winning the match after about 10
minutes.

Cena shook hands with the Make a Wish kids on his way out and went around the other
side. Did not stay long, which was disapointing.

Show ended there. No return date announced.

Overall, the show was good. I thought there could have been more drama in the main
event and the matches could have lasted a bit longer. Oh well, just glad to see WWE
roll through my hometown.
