Road to Wrestlemania Tournament:
Triple H vs. The Big Show
-RAW starts off with Triple H and Big Show coming out to continue the Road to Wrestlemania Tourney. Triple H attacks Big Show before he can enter the ring, but Show gains control with a single right hand. Big Show drops a few elbows after delivering a gorilla press slam. Show steps on Triple H's hand and continues to work over the injury with wrist lock. Show tosses Triple H to the outside and attempts to ram his shoulder into the steel post. Triple H counters and sends Big Show into the ring post. Trips slides back into the ring and Show is on the outside bleeding as we cut to a commercial.
-RAW returns with Triple H punching Show in the head trying to increase the bleeding. Big Show appears to get angry and delivers two headbutts to Triple H followed by a powerslam. Big Show grabs Trips by the throat and attempts to hit the chokeslam. Triple H somehow counters the chokeslam attempt with a DDT and gets a two count. Triple H tries to send Big Show into the ropes, but Show counters. Triple H comes off of the ropes and delivers a facebuster followed by the Pedigree. Big Show manages to kick out of the Pedigree and Trips tries to hit it again. Show counters the second attempt and hits a musclebuster. Show signals for the chokeslam again, but Triple H pokes him in the eye and heads to the second turnbuckle. Show catches Triple H and delivers the Show Stoppa chokeslam. Show gets the cover, but Triple H gets a foot on the bottom rope. Triple H slides to the outside, but Show follows and continues the assault. Show whips Triple H into the steel steps. Show charges but Triple H counters and trips Show into the steps. The ref's count then reaches 10 and he announces the match a draw. Show then tries to chokeslam Triple H through the announce table, but Trips counters with a kick in the groin. H grabs a chair, but Show spears Triple H through the baricade.
-Footage is shown of Shawn Michaels speech back in 97 where he lost his smile which happened 9 years ago today.
-Vince McMahon is shown backstage talking with his lawyers about the Shawn Michaels retirement later tonight. Todd Grisham comes in and asks Vince if the winner of the Masters/RVD match will automatically go to Wrestlemania. Vince states that since neither wrestler lost, the winner of the Masters/RVD will face Triple H and Big Show in a triple threat match next week. Shelton and his momma come in and Shelton's momma asks Vince to give Shelton a shot at the IC title. Vince states that if Shelton beats Eugene tonight he will be the number one contender for the IC title.
-Mick Foley is shown putting on his referee's shirt when Lita and Edge come in. Lita starts flittering with Foley, complimenting him on his weight and his books. Edge interrupts and tells Foley that he doesn't want to be screwed over. Foley then says that he and Edge go farther back then Cena. Edge then asks Foley if he wants to see him win the title. Foley says he doesn't want to see Edge champ, but has no problem counting the three if Edge has the pin. Edge tells him that if he doesn't, he'll have a big problem.
Shelton Benjamin vs. Eugene
-Shelton comes out first wheeling out his momma on a wheelchair. Footage is then shown last week of Eugene's run in with Momma Benjamin. Eugene comes out next with a box of chocolates and offers one to Momma Benjamin. Shelton comes out and knocks the box of chocolates out of Eugene's hand and attacks him. Benjamin slams Eugene's head in to the turnbuckle, but it doesn't do any damage as Eugene gets mad. Eugene puts Shelton in the airplane spin and executes a beautiful northern lights suplex. Eugene runs at Benjamin, who counters with a samoan drop. Benjamin then hits his T-Bone suplex and gets the three count. Benjamin then gets on the mic and says that he won't be called a momma's boy after next week, he will be called the new Intercontinental champion.
WINNER: Shelton Benjamin
-Some more vintage HBK moments are shown, this time with DX showing the MSG kliq incident.
-Ashely is shown getting ready for her match up next against Torrie Wilson.
Torrie Wilson vs. Ashley
-Ashley comes out first, followed by Torrie who is accompanied by Chloe and Candice Michelle. Torrie gets a cheap kick in before the bell rang. Torrie then gets Chloe in the ring and rubs and her bum in Ashley's face. Torrie then hits Ashley with a facebuster and celebrates with Candice and Chloe. Ashley attempts to rollup Torrie, falls and rolls her up anyway and gets the pin. Candice gets on the mic and tells Torrie it's ok because she's going to be on the cover of Playboy in March.
WINNER: Ashley
-Another Vince McMahon hand picked HBK moment, where they talk about the Bret incident and Shawn tells him to let it go.
-Vince's attorneys are in the ring as Vince makes his way to the ring for the Shawn Michaels' retirement. Vince starts off stating that history will be made tonight as this will be Shawn Michaels' last time in a WWE ring. Vince then introduces Michaels who appears to be very emotional. Vince the extends his hand to Shawn and as Shawn reaches to shake it, Vince pulls it back. Vince then asks Shawn why he doesn't look happy since this is what he wanted. Vince then states he has created a great video package, but he's not going to play it. Vince then states he has both RAW and Smackdown ready to come out and shake his hand, but he's not going to do that either. He then states he has flown in Michaels' family from San Antonio, but he hasn't done that either. Instead, since Michaels is so special, he has the Spirit Squad. They then start a cheer where they tell Shawn to kiss Vince's ass and that he will headline the unemployment line. Vince then asks if this was not what he envisioned his last day in the WWE would be like. He then gets the papers from his attorneys and tells Shawn to sign it. Michaels then tells McMahon that he knows that he was not the easiest to work with but this is not what he wanted. Vince then gets Michaels' mic cut off and tells him that he will not listen to his crap again. Vince then tells him to sign the papers. Shawn indicates to Vince that he will not sign it. Vince then says that no one does this to him. HBK then grabs the mic from Vince and tells him he can't do it. He says that although he said that walking away was an option, it isn't because he loves this job. Michaels' then says to walk away from this ring and these people would be walking away from one of his greatest joys. He then says he is not walking away like this. Vince then grabs the mic and tells HBK that the reason he is doing this is because Michaels has something he doesn't have which is a sense of inner peace. He then states that sometime he doesn't know who he is, but he knows he wants more. He then says that his life is a nightmare but Michaels is going to be make it better because he is going to sign those papers. Vince then tells Shawn that he hates people like him because he wants what he has, but he can't have it. He then tells Shawn to sign those damn papers. Michaels then tears the papers apart and receives a slap from Vince. Vince tells Shawn that by tearing those papers, he has opened up the flood gates to his own hell.
-They announce that Bret Hart will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before Wrestlemania.
Road to Wrestlemania Tournament:
Chris Masters vs. Rob Van Dam
-RVD gets the early advantage with a series of kicks. RVD gets a two count after a slingshot legdrop. RVD attemtps a high risk maneuver, but Masters counters with a powerslam. Masters then hits RVD with a shoulder block that sends RVD into the front row. Masters puts RVD into a torture rack, but RVD counters and gets a near fall with a roll up. Masters regains control with a huge spinebuster. RVD surprises Masters with a kick to the face and hits Rolling Thunder. RVD goes to the top rope and hits the Five Star Frog Splash for the win and advances to the finals of the Road to Wrestlemania Tournament.
WINNER: Rob Van Dam
-Trish's date from last week is shown with some flowers. He goes into Trish's locker where Mickie's in there wearing a blonde wig. Mickie then hits on "Jack". Jack then tell Mickie that he likes Trish and wants to make it work. Mickie then starts to freak out and starts screaming for help. Security comes in and drags Jack out as Mickie smiles.
-Security is shown with Mickie as she is crying. Trish comes in and Mickie tells her that Jack forced himself on her. The security guard backs Mickie's claim stating he saw Jack with his hands all over her. Trish apologizes and hugs a crying Mickie.
-Coach, King and Styles announce two matches for next week's RAW. The finals of the Road to Wrestlemania tournament, Triple H vs. The Big Show vs. Rob Van Dam and an IC title match between Shelton Benjamin and Ric Flair.
-The show a recap of the entire Edge/Cena feud starting at New Year's Revolution.
WWE Title Match:
Edge vs. John Cena w/ Mick Foley as the Special Guest Referee
-Cena gets the early advantage following a shoulder block and sidewalk slam. Edge slides to the outside to take a breather as we cut to a commercial.
-We come back to RAW with Cena getting a two count after a supposed high cross body. Cena gets another two count after delivering a front suplex. Cena straps a reverse chin lock on Edge, but Edge gets into the ropes. As Cena releases the hold and let's Foley know, Edge surprises his him with a forearm shot to the head. Edge hoists Cena on to the top rope and attempts superplex, but Cena tosses Edge to the mat and hits a splash for another two count. Another suplex and two count for Cena. Lita tries to take the turnbuckle off, but is caught by Foley. Foley then sends Lita to the back as we cut to another commercial.
-During the commercial break, Edge delivered a back suplex on to the baricade to gain control of the match. Edge straps on a sleeper hold on Cena but Cena drops Edge on his back. Cena hits Edge with a couple of clotheslines and gets another two count after a belly to belly suplex. Edge surprises Cena with a front kick to the face and heads to the top rope. Cena meets Edge and tries to deliver a top rope F-U. Edge slides off of Cena's back and delivers a powerbomb. Edge tries to get the pin with his feet on the ropes, but Foley catches him. Edge and Foley get into a shoving match which allows Cena to recover. Cena gets Edge in the F-U again, but Edge slides off again and hits the Edge-ecution, but only gets a two count. Edge tries to spear Cena, but Cena moves out of the way. Cena tries for the F-U again, but Edge slides off again and shoves Cena into Foley. Edge catches Foley after Cena moved out of the way. Cena then hits Edge with a drop toe hold and straps in the STFU. Edge starts to tap, but Foley is out. Lita comes in and breaks up the STFU. Lita then gets the WWE title and passes it to Edge. Edge hits Cena, but Foley is still out. Lita tosses Foley into the ring, but Cena kicks out. Edge attempts a high cross body from the top rope, but Cena catches him and hits the F-U for the win. After the match, Edge blames Foley for his loss. Lita hits Foley with a low blow and Edge spears Foley as RAW ends.
