It's rumored that WWE has signed independent women's wrestler Athena Reese, who wrestled her final match for Anarchy Championship Wrestling on Monday night from Austin, Texas.
Athena, 27, was trained by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Skandor Akbar. She has competed for SHIMMER, Shine and Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion and was reportedly telling people at Monday's Anarchy show that there are "exciting things ahead" for her.
As noted earlier this week, it appears WWE has also signed Japanese women's wrestler Kanna, a sign that the company is continuing to invest in the future of their women's divisions.
