Stephanie McMahon & Roman Reigns Kick Off RAW
The post-TLC edition of RAW opens with a lengthy video package focusing on Roman Reigns snapping and attacking Triple H at last night's PPV. From there, Stephanie McMahon's music hits and she makes her way down to the ring as the announcers welcome us to the show and talk more about Reigns' attack of HHH last night.
Stephanie said powerful women are still viewed as cold and ruthless. She said she's just like the fans if you take away the money and the education. She spoke about not knowing what to tell her children when their father was spitting up blood in the hospital all night. Stephanie said Reigns left her no choice.
Roman Reigns' music interrupted Stephanie and he made his way through the crowd and to the ring while Cole questioned whether this would be the last time we see him on Raw. Cole and JBL agreed that Reigns crossed the line by attacking "the boss." After a staredown, Reigns said he is a father and today and his daughter's birthday. He looked into the camera and told his daughter that he loves her and he can't wait to see her. Reigns then said he doesn't feel bad about kicking Triple H's ass.
Stephanie asked Reigns how it would feel for his wife to look into his girl's eyes and explain a beating that he took. Stephanie told him he better have something sharp to say because she's ready. Reigns said he's a little short on time and said if she is going to fire him, "then fire me, please." Stephanie told Reigns to accept responsibility for his loss. She called him a failure and a disgrace. Reigns laughed off the idea of Stephanie calling him a disgrace. Reigns said the entire McMahon family is a disgrace. The fans chanted "Yes!"
Stephanie slapped Reigns, who smiled at her. She slapped him again and he smiled. Stephanie slapped Reigns repeatedly. He didn't smile. Stephanie said "just one more thing." She slapped him again. Stephanie said she's not going to fire Reigns because her husband asked her not to, but she said there's someone on his way to the the building who just might - Vincent Kennedy McMahon...
The broadcast team spoke about the segment and then hyped new Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose in action after the break.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose
When we return from the break, Dolph Ziggler's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Out next is his opponent for this evening, the new WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose.
The crowd was hot for Ambrose, who was in control heading into a break. [C] Ambrose leapt off the ropes and into a dropkick from Ziggler, who scored a near fall moments later. Ziggler went for a superkick, but Ambrose avoided him and then face planted him. Ambrose performed a missile dropkick and followed with a clothesline and a bulldog for a two count.
[Q3] With both men down, Kevin Owens entered the ring and threw Ziggler to ringside. The referee called for the bell.
Winner: No Contest
After The Match: The Action Continues
After the match, Owens attacked Ambrose and put him down with a Pop-Up Powerbomb. Owens walked to ringside and grabbed the IC Title belt, then returned to the ring and looked at it while standing on Ambrose's hand. Owens picke dup Ambrose and gave him another Pop-Up Powerbomb. Ziggler returned and attacked Owens, who cut him off with a kick to the knee. Ambrose picked up Ziggler and powerbombed him onto Ambrose.
JoJo Interviews Kevin Owens
Backstage, JoJo interviewed Kevin Owens, who said he doesn't have to justify himself to her or anyone. Owens said it was only the beginning. He said he won't stop until he drives Ambrose insane and puts him in an institution, and takes back his Intercontinental Title...
Team ECW Backsrtage Promo
Backstage, Team ECW delivered a promo. They spoke about getting knocked down and how they always keep fighting. There were ECW clips of each man shown throughout the segment. Bubba Ray Dudley told Bray Wyatt to bring his family and they will bring their family. Devon said they are going to take this city to the extreme... [C]
Stephanie McMahon Awaits Her Father's Arrival
[Q4] Backstage, Stephanie McMahon was shown anxiously awaiting her father's arrival and speaking to an unknown woman about it...
R-Truth vs. Bo Dallas
We got the full R-Truth entrance. Dallas was doing a victory lap during the match when they cut backstage to show Vince McMahon arriving in his limo. Stephanie was there to greet him. She said let's go do this. Vince told her to take care of her husband. "I'll do this," Vince said before doing his BMF walk. The cameras cut back to the match. Cole spoke about how R-Truth "loves to have fun." Ugh.

Vince McMahon Returns
Vince McMahon's music played and the crowd popped as he walked onto the stage roughly 2:30 into the match.
Vince walked to ringside and grabbed a microphone. "Stop the match, get the hell out of my ring," Vince told Bo and Truth. I love this man.
Vince said there was someone backstage who was sweating and wondering what it would be like when he stands in the presence of Vincent Kennedy McMahon. He said he might as well be standing in the presence of God Almighty. Vince walked to ringside and took a seat in an office chair next to the broadcast team. Vince said Reigns is going to sweat a little bit more. They cut to break. [C]
After the break, Vince said, "Let the bastard sweat." The crowd was pretty quiet at this point, aside from a giddy young boy in the front row, as he seemed to be the most excited person in the world about seeing Vince for some reason. Vince McMahon told Reigns to come out and take his medicine, then told him to get his ass out there. Reigns made his entrance via the stage and didn't get much of a reaction, as the fans had already seen him once and the whole commercial break thing with Vince was odd. There were some cheers once his music stopped.
[Q5] Vince said he could tell that Reigns is intimidated and that's okay. He said he has a certain presence about him that he can't help. Vince said Reigns is standing in the ring, yet his son-in-law was back in Connecticut suffering. Vince told Reigns that before he makes up his mind, he wants him to apologize. Reigns shook his head no.
Vince said he knows what all of this means to Reigns. He said Reigns wants it. He told him to get down on his knees and apologize. Vince said there was a time when he would have beaten an apology out of Reigns. He asked Reigns if he thought that was funny. "You think I can't do that right now?" Vince took his jacket off and started to undo his tie.
Sheamus's music played and he walked onto the stage and said, "No, no, no, no." Sheamus apologized to Vince for interrupting. He said Vince can take him, but he wants the pleasure of beating an apology out of him. Sheamus said no man should ever disrespect Vince or his family. The fans interrupted with "you look stupid" taunts. Sheamus said that on behalf of Vince's family's Irish coat of arms, he wanted to face Reigns tonight.
Sheamus teased putting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line. The crowd popped for that. Vince said he supposes Reigns would like that. He asked the fans if they want to see a championship match. Vince said the fans fall for it every freaking time. "It's unbelievable," he said. "Because there's no chance in hell." There was a vocal "asshole" chant.
"Why not, old man?" Reigns asked Vince. He said Vince talked about having grapefruits and apparently he has old, shriveled up prunes. He said Vince is 70 years-old and time has passed him by. Vince called him a son of a bitch and then told him he has his match. Vince said that if Reigns doesn't become champion, then he's fired. Vince offered Reigns a handshake, but then kicked him in the balls instead...
The broadcast team spoke about the situation and said that Reigns played to Vince's manhood. They shifted to hyping the Team ECW vs. The Wyatt Family match... [C]
Alberto Del Rio & Rusev vs. Ryback & Jack Swagger
[6] The crowd was flat throughout most of the match. The fans did chant along with Swagger as he delivered the We The People line. In the end, Del Rio caught Swagger with a superkick, then legal man Rusev hit Swagger with his version of the kick and pinned him...

Adam Rose's "Rosebush" Segment
The Rosebush segment aired. Adam Rose spoke about Becky Lynch being concerned that Charlotte is becoming too much like her father. Rose said she needs 16 world titles, four marriages, four divorces, and multiple fortunes to win and lose before she is anything like her father. Rose went after Tommy Dreamer's spray tan and this time worked in a shot at his bald spot...
Neville vs. Tyler Breeze
The Miz came out before the match and delivered a promo on his way to the ring. He sat in a director's chair at ringside and barked "action" through a director's megaphone and then the bell rang to start the match.
[Q7] With Breeze lying on the apron, Miz stood up and yelled cut and said that's not what he wanted. Neville hit Breeze with a kick and then followed up with the Red Arrow for the win...

Backstage: Neville & The Miz
Backstage, Neville told Miz that he doesn't want his help. Miz told him to look at the bigger picture. He spoke about Star Wars Episode 7 coming out this week. It sounded like Miz said Jason Powell is seeing the movie before Will Pruett, but I'm probably mistaken. Miz spoke about Neville swinging a light saber while his ear flopped. Miz wants to help Neville, and in exchange he wants Neville to help him develop an accent. Neville told him he would stick a light saber where the sun doesn't shine...
Wyatt Family Segment
A Wyatt Family pre-tape aired. The minions took turns delivering lines and then Bray Wyatt said they would bury the ECW guys in the city where they were born... Team ECW made their entrance. Cole pointed out the "toys" that the ECW crew brought to the ring with them. Ugh... [C]
Extreme Rules Elimination Match
- Team ECW vs. The Wyatt Family
[Q8] The Wyatts made their entrance, surrounded the ring, entered and then fought Team ECW as the referee called for the bell to start the match. The wrestlers fought in and around the ring and used the weapons that Cole repeatedly called toys. The Dudleys did the Whassup spot on Rowan. Bubba called for the tables. Harper cut them off with kicks to the head.
Harper went to the ropes and Dreamer struck him with a kendo stick. Dreamer leapt off the ropes and into a clothesline on the floor from Strowman. They did a tower of doom spot with Rowan undereath Bubba, who had Harper on the ropes. Harper being suplexed onto a chair. [C]
After the break, Team ECW worked over Harper. Dreamer performed a running kick into a trash can that was set in front of Harper.
Harper and Dreamer went to the stage. Dreamer got the better of the exchange and then performed a Death Valley Driver off the stage and through two tables set up below. Later, Dreamer broke a kendo stick by striking Strowman with it repeatedly. Strowman picked him up and ran him through the barricade and into the timekeepers area.
[Q9] Later, The Dudleys put Harper through a table with 3D and it looked like they were going to win, but Wyatt pulled Bubba to the floor and performed Sister Abigail. Rhyno and Rowan fought in the ring. Wyatt entered and hit Sister Abigail on Rhyno. The fans chanted "this is awesome." Rowan placed Rhyno on a table and then performed a top rope splash that drove him through a table. Rowan got the pin...
The broadcast team spoke while standing (their table was wiped out). JBL said that was awesome and laughed. He said the Wyatt Family are now the kings of extreme. They recapped the footage of Stephanie slapping Reigns repeatedly, then showed Roman's testicle joke of the week. They also showed Vince kicking Reigns in the balls. The broadcast team also hyped New Day for after the break... [C]

In-Ring Segment: The New Day, The Usos & The Lucha Dragons
New Day time. They headed to the ring and said they didn't feel like partying. They said the power of positivity met the power of gravity. They narrated still shots from the match. They called out The Uso Brothers so they could talk. They assured them they weren't up to anything.
[Q10] The Usos walked to the ring. Kofi Kingston said they weren't there to fight and they don't even have their gear on. Xavier Woods said they earned their respect and offered to extend the olive branch in a truce. The Uso Brothers asked if they were serious. Big E called out The Lucha Dragons, who also walked to the ring.
Kingston put over Kalisto for the the big spot of the match and questioned how he's even walking. Kingston called him one of the toughest fighters in the history of the industry. Kalisto asked about when Woods threw his trombone at his back. Woods said he can't change the past, but he apologized. Kalisto asked the Uso Brothers if they believed it. One of the Usos said he's heard better apologies from his three year-olds.
Woods said they called them out there because all three teams took the tag team division to the next level and there's nothing anyone can say "opposite of that." Woods said they didn't do that for "us, we did that for them" as he pointed to the fans. New Day offered handshakes. The Uso Brothers and Lucha Dragons reluctantly accepted. There were some boos. Woods told the fans to give it up for the Dragons and Usos.
Once both teams left the ring, New Day said they were completely sincere about everything they said, but tonight is about "your boys." Woods boasted that they are still the WWE Tag Team Champions. They danced in the ring in an over the top manner. The Uso Brothers and the Dragons returned to the ring and beat up the New Day members...\
Backstage: Ric Flair, Charlotte & Becky Lynch
A backstage shot aired of Ric Flair walking with Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Cole hyped Charlotte and Lynch vs. Brie Bella and Alicia Fox... [C]

[Q11] Team BAD were shown holding tickets in the front row. Late in the match, Alicia ran the ropes and was tripped by Flair unbeknownst to Lynch, who applied the Disarmer for the win...

Backstage Segments & Final Hype
Backstage, The Prime Time Players pimped WWE merchandise... Still shots aired of the TLC main event and the post-match beatdown of Triple H... Vince McMahon was shown talking with Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, and Rusev. King Barrett was nowhere to be found...
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns
Vince McMahon was seated at ringside so he could fire Reigns if he lost the match. Cole hyped that Reigns will be on ESPN SportsCenter with Jonathan Coachman tomorrow night. Sheamus was in control heading into an early break. [C]
[Overrun] Reigns performed a Samoan Drop off the second rope for a two count. Later, Sheamus pressed Reigns up and slammed him down for a near fall of his own. Vince shot up to sell the near fall. Sheamus was bleeding from the nose. Sheamus applied the cloverleaf. Reigns reached the ropes to break the hold.
Reigns connected with a Superman Punch and had the pin, but Vince pulled the referee from the ring. Sheamus ran Reigns into the ring post. Sheamus performed White Noise on Reigns and covered him, but Reigns kicked out. Vince was on the apron and pulled the referee over and gave him instructions.
Alberto Del Rio ran out, but Reigns knocked him down. Rusev was right there to knock Reigns down. Rusev rolled him back inside the ring. Reigns performed a Superman Punch on Rusev to knock him down, then hit Sheamus with another Superman Punch. Reigns finally hit Vince with a Superman Punch and knocked him off the apron. Sheamus performed a Brogue Kick and covered Reigns, who kicked out at the last moment.
The crowd came to life with "Yes" chants. Sheamus set up for the Brogue Kick, but Reigns speared him and pinned him to win the match and the title. Reigns celebrated his win as the show Cole boasted that the Roman Empire was greater than the McMahon Empire tonight...
