Triple H recently did a lengthy interview with the Connecticut Hersam Acorn Newspaper to promote this Sunday’s WrestleMania 22 pay-per-view. Triple H touched on claims that he has held back talent by saying, “I hear all these stories about things I supposedly did or who I’m holding back and it doesn’t bother me. You just deal with it. Chicago Sun-Times sports columnist Jay Mariotti ripped the WWE Hall of Fame yesterday during the “Face Time” segment on “Around the Horn” on ESPN. Marriotti said that the induction of Chicago Bears cult figure William “Refrigerator” Perry was nothing but a joke. He continued to rant saying that the hall was a fraud and that there should not be a hall of fame to honor a fraudulent sport. Mariotti even went as far as to say that the induction of a real athlete like Perry would do nothing but encourage young kids to try and emulate what they see on wrestling shows and get hurt.
