Impact Report 4/13/06

The show starts mid-match. (Bear with me as this is my first time writing TNA. There are a lot of moves and wrestlers that I still don’t know very well, so it WILL be choppy. Hopefully it will be well received and something I’ll do on a regular basis.) Anyway Samoa Joe has Daniels on the outside and Daniels is busted wide open. The ref asks Daniels if he wants to continue - of course he does. They show video of Joe pushing Daniels into the ring post to bust his head open.
Joe rolls Daniels back in the ring and follows. Joe slowly stalks Daniels then stomps his head. He then kicks him in the back of the head. Joe picks Daniels up to his knees. They exchange punches until Joe bites Daniels on the forehead. Daniels kicks Joe in the chest from the mat. Joe kicks Daniels back and then kicks him in the head. Joe wipes Daniels blood on his own chest before going back after Daniels. Joe gets on his knees behind Daniels and rips at his forehead. Joe then gets up and slowly walks around Daniels. Joe nails a snap mare on Daniels and then slaps him hard in the back. Joe then drops a knee on Daniels’ forehead. Daniels is twitching on the mat. Joe covers for two.
Joe locks a headlock on Daniels. Daniels fights out with elbows. Daniels misses a clothesline and runs into a high knee of Joe’s. Again Daniels is twitching on the mat. Joe stomps Daniels’ forehead. Joe pulls Daniels up by his ear and slams him face first into the turn buckle. Joe turns it into a boxing match and throws a bunch of combinations on Daniels in a corner. Joe kicks Daniels in the corner.
Dueling ‘Let’s go Daniels’ and ‘Let’s go Samoa Joe’ chants from opposite sids of the ring.
Joe props Daniels up in the corner and throws a hard punch. He pulls him up again and nails a double chop to the shoulders. Daniels gets whipped and joe splashes him. Joe then kicks Daniels in the kidney sending him to the mat. Daniels is just panting on the mat. The ref talks to Daniels who won’t stop. Joe rakes his boot across Daniels’ face. He then drives his knee into Daniels’ face.
The second time Joe runs to drive his knee into Daniels’ face, Daniels gets to his feet, grabs Joe’s leg and spins it sending him flying. Joe struggles to his feet in a corner. Daniels runs and drives his knee into the side of Joe’s head. Joe gets whipped. Daniels runs for another high knee but Joe catches him with one arm and slams him to the mat. Daniels flops around a bit.

Joe power bombs Daniels, keeps hold of him and locks on a boston crab. Joe then changes the hold to a STF. He keeps punching Daniels in the head, but he won’t tap. Joe lets go of the hold. Joe kicks Daniels in the chest a couple times. Daniels gets a foot to the back of Joe’s head and then slams him face first to the mat. Daniels nails two clotheslines and a face buster on Joe. Daniels climbs and nails a flying clothesline for two. Daniels puts Joe up top and nails a hurricanrana for two. Joe nails an inverted atomic drop and then a big boot to Daniels’ face. Joe goes to do a back drop on Daniels, but Daniels gets his knees up. Joe nails an amazingly fast scoop slam for two. Daniels slams Joe for two. Joe slaps Daniels around. Daniels fights back with punch. Daniels nails an STF takedown and then a moonsault for two. Daniels puts Joe up top sitting, but Joe gets a headlock on. Daniels goes for a superplex but Joe gets Daniels across his shoulders and nails the island driver from the top. Joe covers Daniels for three.

- Winner: Samoa Joe

Sting gets interviewed outback. He is pumped up and sounding like the old Sting we all miss (well, at least I do). He says that Jarrett is scared about his match with Sting and has spent most of his night in the potty because of it. Whereas Sting is all excited about the match and ready to go. He also said that his team for the next PPV will have to wait before being announced.

Mike Tenay sat down and talked to Christian. He talks about how his wife was being stalked and how pissed he was about it. Video of Mitchell and Abyss stalking Denise. He says being the champ everyone is out to get him. But his wife never signed on for any of this. She’s not a part of the roster and this goes over the line. This make his match with Abyss even more personal. They show video clips of Christian in the ring pissed and Abyss attacking Christian in a pool.

AMW come down to the ring with Jackie and Gail Kim. Team 3D come down to face them in a hardcore match.
Very quickly Ray and D-Von attack AMW. 3D get the upper hand and throw AMW from the ring.
Gail and Jackie get in the ring and Gail attacks Jackie to humiliate her.
AMW return to the ring. Jackie rolls out and Gail is delicately removed from the ring by one of AMW. They attack 3D from behind and seem to get the upper hand.

D-Von chants. D-Von was in control, but is now being choked in a corner by Wildcat. A clothesline takes D-Von down and there’s an AMW tag. He’s double teamed but ducks a clothesline and double clotheslines them.
Ray tags in and takes AMW apart. He knocks them both down over and over and then throws one out of the ring. D-Von leaves the ring and attacks Wildcat. All four are outside and 3D are in charge. D-Von tosses Wildcat over the barrier after slamming him into a steel wall. Ray throws Storm through a wall. D-Von then throws Wildcat into the barrier and beats him down with punches. Ray uses a tag belt against Storm’s head.
Ray’s back in the ring to ‘We want tables’ chants. Ray ducks a clothesline and executes a scoop slam. D-Von gets tossed in over the top by Wildcat. Storm gets tossed out over the top by Ray but gets nailed with a clothesline by Wildcat. Ray climbs but Wildcat moves.
Storm tosses a trash can in and Wildcat nails Ray with it. Wildcat covers for two. AMW goes for their finishing move but Ray pushes Storm off the top. Ray has Wildcat covered but one of the Canadians pulls the ref out before the three can be called.
From the other side of the ring Team Canada attacks 3D. The ref calls for the bell over and over. They grab a table and set it up. They are about to put Ray through a table when my favorite Dudley comes running out. The little guy bulldogs one and stomps another’s chest in a corner to save his brothers. Spike’s hair is cut short but sticking out in all directions. He looks really good back in the ring, very energetic. (Can we tell I’m a HUGE Spike fan?)

- Winners: 3D? It was a street fight, but the ref called for the bell - I don’t know if there was an actual winner.
