As previously reported, Palmer Cannon put in his notice to World Wrestling Entertainment on Friday that he would be quitting the company, effective immediately. This was done during WWE's current tour of Europe.
Cannon was the target of backstage hazing from several SmackDown veterans. It got to the point to where he almost got into a physical confrontation with John Bradshaw Layfield.
His release from the company has not been granted, and WWE officials have attempted to keep Cannon from quitting. He has turned down all requests to reconsider his decision.
