WWE Booking ECW Venues, Cole’s New Position, Heyman/ECW Update, more

WWE is trying to book house shows in venues that were used by Extreme Championship Wrestling. Cities under consideration include Philadelphia (trying to book the ECW Arena for June 24th), Detroit, Chicago, Poughkeepsie, Buffalo, Cleveland, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, New York (venues include the Hammerstein Ballroom), Tampa, Long Isand, as well as various venues throughout Pittsburgh and New Jersey.

WWE sent a text message out to their mobile subscribers reporting that Michael Cole has been named the new “Managing Editor” of the official WWE website.

Paul Heyman was not at last night’s OVW television tapings in Louisville due to meetings with WWE executives concerning the resurrection of ECW. Al Snow was in charge for the night, however, Heyman did write the script for TV.

Hulk Hogan is scheduled to make an appearance on Jay Leno on May 3rd.
