Many industry sources are questioning how confused fans are going to be during tonight’s Kane vs. Big Show match at WWE’s Backlash PPV, as there is really no clear heel and face. Expect Kane to be victorious to further promote his upcoming movie that is due out May 19th.
There are two scenarios that WWE can pick for tonight’s Shelton Benjamin vs. Rob Van Dam match. If they book Shelton to win, they can do a rematch tomorrow night on RAW, but only for the briefcase. The alternative of course being RVD winning the match outright, to continue on with his Money In The Bank option, which is obvious that he will have for ECW One Night Stand II.
Obviously tonight’s McMahons vs. Shawn Michaels and “God” bout will be dominated primarily by Shane and Shawn. Expect to see at least one crazy bump from Shane as he is notorious for taking them.
The most unpredictable fan reaction of the night will undoubtedly be during tonight’s triple threat main event between John Cena, Edge, and Triple H for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Will fans boo Cena as well as Edge? It’ll be interesting to see if WWE decides to turn Triple H “more heel” or give him the expected face turn.
