- There are currently no plans to bring up Shinsuke Nakamura to the main WWE roster. The plan is to keep him as the "flagship star" of the NXT brand.
- Both Io Shirai and Kairi Hojo - two of Japan's top female wrestlers - have reportedly gotten offers to sign contracts with WWE in 2017. Stardom management feels that Shirai is going to WWE for sure, whereas they are trying very hard to keep Hojo, who appears undecided on what she will do. There is also a question if she will even pass WWE's physical due to her past two major concussions.
