WWE News: Braun Strowman at WrestleMania, Original Plans for Brock Lesnar

  • Braun Strowman currently has no opponent lined up for WrestleMania as the most likely matches for him would be Goldberg, Lesnar, Undertaker, Reigns, or Big Show and they are all tentatively booked elsewhere. As a result, there's a possiblity that Strowman will be a part of the Andre the Giant battle royal and end up winning that before moving on to face one of the aforementioned wrestlers over the summer.

  • Originally the plan was for Shane McMahon to work a storyline with Brock Lesnar in 2017 but with Goldberg agreeing to stay with WWE beyond one match, that idea was scrapped abruptly.

  • As reported yesterday, the idea being tossed around now is that Shane McMahon will instead wrestle AJ Styles at WrestleMania, and there seems to be some seeds planted for this with Styles complaining about his lack of presence on the Royal Rumble poster, the Elimination Chamber match, etc.
