Paul Heyman is at tonight’s SmackDown tapings in Bakersfield, California. Apparently he will work an on-camera similar to last night on RAW to continue buildup for ECW One Night Stand.
Tonight’s taping will be the last show that Chris Benoit will work for a couple of months, as he will be taking some time off to rehab a shoulder injury. It is unknown if a particular incident or if wear and tear caused the injury, but the hope within WWE is that he’ll be back in about two months. There is a possibility that WWE will do an angle to explain his time off.
JBL is expected to drop the United States Championship tonight, possibly to Bobby Lashley.
For those who have not heard, Three 6 Mafia will perform Mark Henry’s entrance theme as a part of the taping to promote the new WWE CD that was released today.
