There have been several newsworthy developments at tonight's WWE vs. ECW special.
Randy Orton interrupted an interview by Kurt Angle and announced that his SmackDown! contract expired and starting this Sunday at ECW's One Night Stand, he will be representing the RAW brand full time.
There was a 20 man WWE vs. ECW battle royal on the show. The final 3 men were Big Show and Randy Orton from WWE and Kurt Angle from ECW. Randy Orton eliminated Angle to eliminate the final ECW competitor. While Orton's back was turned, Big Show tore off his WWE shirt to reveal an ECW shirt beneath it. He eliminated Randy Orton to win the event for ECW.
After the defection, Big Show and Kurt Angle celebrated, chanting "ECW! ECW!" into the camera. In a later segment, Big Show was shown partying backstage in the ECW lockerroom. Big Show said, "I have only 1 thing to say ... ECW! ECW!"
Also on the show was the return of former ECW tag champion Justin Credible. According to PWTorch, he signed with ECW this week on the same day his no-compete clause with the MTV project expired.
