To follow up on an earlier report, Kurt Angle told people backstage at Tuesday’s taping that he will be taking time off due to personal reasons. It was originally thought that Angle was taking time off to heal his overworked body; however, it is probably a mixture of both issues.
We reported yesterday that Vince McMahon would be taking over the duties of booking ECW. To expound on what has already been reported, McMahon has made it clear to Paul Heyman that he is not happy with the direction of the new ECW and will begin booking the show with WWE writing team member Kevin Dunn. As we have said, all plans of ECW being a “different” Paul Heyman product have been scrapped. Several people in all three brands are not happy with McMahon’s recent decision.
The only members of ECW that were at Tuesday’s taping were the people featured on television.
Several talents were happy to see creative team member Christopher DeJoseph embarrassed by The Sandman Tuesday night on Sci-Fi. Some feel that it is a way to get back at DeJoseph for poorly written angles.
