Tons of ECW News: Last Night’s Taping, Big Show/Title, Crowbar, Much More

- The reason that certain matches are listed as “ECW Rules” on ECW events is because from this point on, all ECW matches are treated as being under WWE rules, unless stipulations are advertised otherwise.

- ECW diva Trinity had knee surgery last week to repair an injury that she sustained on June 24th at a Philadelphia ECW house show where she landed awkwardly from a moonsault from the top rope to the floor. She should back in 6-8 weeks.

- With last night’s victory, The Big Show becomes the only wrestler to ever hold the WWE, WCW, and ECW versions of a World Championship.

- There’s YouTube video of Rob Van Dam’s exit from the ring after the cameras stopped rolling on last night’s ECW on Sci-Fi now available online. Check the link above to view the footage.

- The reason Atlas Security was not used at ECW live events over the weekend is because a dispute between the company and WWE management lead to the dismissal of their services. Apparently WWE was upset at Atlas getting in the way of their camera angles and when Atlas representatives voiced their concern, WWE terminated them. Given last night’s angry crowd reaction, WWE may need to veto that decision as soon as possible.

- Last night was the final night for the old ECW referees. From this point on, WWE will use their own officials, even though the ECW referees are welcome back when the company tours the Northeast again.

- Crowbar was backstage at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA at last night’s ECW on Sci-Fi taping but was not used.

- ECW will debut in Green Bay, Wisconsin at a live event on July 9th. Talent advertised for the show includes ECW Champion Big Show, Sandman, Justin Credible, Tommy Dreamer, Test, Sabu, Doug Basham, The FBI, the debuting Derick Neikirk and Ryan O’Reilly, Francine, Kelly, Balls Mahoney, and Mike Knoxx.

- ECW’s July 8th show in Racine, Wisconsin is being reported as a sell out. However, if you still want to attend; I would advise you to out check several websites carefully for available tickets.

- Terry Funk and Tim Arson (the Zombie from the debut edition of ECW on Sci-Fi) will make a guest appearance on the In Your Head online radio show tonight at 6 PM Eastern.
