During a recent appearance on WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross' podcast, "The Ross Report," fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash spoke about a conversation he had with Vince McMahon a couple of years ago regarding the work ethic and drive of modern WWE Superstars compared to those of the previous generations.
As Nash explained to Ross during the podcast, the WWE Chairman truly does seem to believe that there is an issue with modern WWE Superstars going out on a limb to "reach that brass ring."
"I remember one time I was talking to Vince – it wasn't the last WrestleMania, I think it was the one before – and I just asked him how things were," said Nash. "And he goes, 'The thing that's changed more than anything, [is] back when you broke in here in the fed, it was a shark tank."
Nash continued, "Like, everybody went after that top prize, and it was a battle. Now, [wrestlers] wait for him to come around with a sword and anoint them.' It's just not the same anymore."
