-- Despite online rumors and betting odds suggesting that he will participate in the Royal Rumble, Daniel Bryan has not been cleared to wrestle by the WWE medical staff and it is not expected that he would be suddenly cleared this week in time for the PPV.
-- There was an idea floating around that he could somehow be involved in the match but not take any bumps but that seems unlikely as it would need to build towards an AJ Styles vs. Bryan match at WrestleMania, which doesn't seem to be the plan. Of course, this is assuming that WWE doesn't just ignore or their unwritten rule that the Rumble winner gets a title shot at WrestleMania.
