On NXT TV last night, NXT General Manager William Regal officially announced the details on the 2018 Dusty Rhodes Tag-Team Classic Tournament.
Regal noted that the tournament will kick off in two weeks and that the winners will get a shot at the NXT World Tag-Team Championships, currently held by Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly, at the NXT TakeOver: New Orleans live WWE Network special during WrestleMania 34 weekend.
Three of the first-round matches of the eight-team tournament were taped at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this month. The matches included The Authors of Pain vs. TM-61, The Street Profits vs. Heavy Machinery and SAniTy vs. Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss. There will be one additional first-round match, with the tournament scheduled to continue, and possibly end, at the NXT television tapings set for March 7th at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
