WWE Signs New Talent, Batista Update, Lack of WWE PPV Buy Rate Numbers

WWE has signed two new developmental talents from Ohio Valley Wrestling. Charles “The Hammer” Evans and Anthony Carelli (a/k/a Boris Alexiev) have both signed with WWE. Evans has been on OVW TV since June, while Carelli has been said to be heavily favored by Paul Heyman.

There’s an article on Batista on ZWire.com, promoting Tuesday’s SmackDown/ECW taping in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You can read it by clicking here.

On an interesting note, WWE usually releases PPV buy rates 2-4 weeks after the shows, however, have yet to release a single buy rate since May. While it will be interesting to see if the company will release the buy rates of the last few shows at the investors’ conference later this month, many of the shows particularly Vengeance are projected to have done well. It is unknown at this point why WWE has withheld the numbers.
