Shawn Michaels was injured during his match with DX partner Triple H against the McMahons at SummerSlam. Apparently the injury occurred when he went over the top rope on a clothesline bump with Shane McMahon. Details remain sketchy on the specifics; however, early reports indicate that it is to his right arm and could possibly be a shoulder separation or dislocation. Michaels was obviously in a good bit of pain as he couldn’t even raise his arm after the match.
During SummerSlam, a promo for this year’s WrestleMania 23 at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan aired.
Hulk Hogan worked easy during his match against Randy Orton to prevent further aggravating his knee injury. The reason that the bout aired early in the card is because Hogan obviously had a say in the finish and is why he was victorious.
Both the DX and Ric Flair/Mick Foley storylines are expected to continue past SummerSlam.
