Welcome aboard. Wasn't Raw horrible? Nice to see Jeff Hardy back who looked good in his return match. Let's crack on with Heat.

Shelton Benjamin vs Rob Conway
Shelton comes out to some cheers. Conway comes out to boos so Shelton cuts off Conway's entrance with a promo ordering Conway to stop. When Shelton agreed to come out he agreed to have viable competition. Conway just doesn't measure up. To Shelton Conway is no different than the idiots the other side of the (guard) rail. Conway came out because he wants to get close to greatness just like everyone else (in attendance). Conway has an option. He can march his little ass back up the ramp, behind the curtain and live to fight another day or he can take out an insurance programme. Ass whipping insurance. Shelton concludes by saying Conway is about to pay a deductible. With that Conway pulls Shelton out by the leg and lands a couple of forearms with the first one putting Shelton down. Shelton comes back with a boot before Conway blocks and reverses a head ram into the guardrail. Conway puts Shelton back in, Conway steps in as the bell finally goes to get this one officially underway. Conway blocks then lands some punches, a hiptoss off the ropes and a standing dropkick before clotheslining Shelton over the top rope. Conway goes to pull Shelton back in who ends up pulling Conway out. Conway blocks and punches Shelton, Conway puts Shelton back inside who grabs the referee to cause a distraction which allows Shelton to recover then quickly knock Conway off the apron with a boot to the face. Shelton goes out to ram Conway into the apron. Back inside Shelton stomps the back before delivering a back suplex. Shelton lands some punches to Conway's head. Shelton with an Irish whip, Conway crashes down, Shelton with a lax cover for a nearfall. Shelton rests Conway in the second rope, Shelton lands punches to the head then a running spike to the same area. Shelton chokes Conway with his boot before taunting him to get up. The fans chant boring. Conway punches back, Shelton counters a whip attempt with a samoan drop for a nearfall. Shelton applies a chinlock with his knee wedged into Conway's back. Conway punches free so Shelton knees the gut. Irish whip by Shelton, Conway rebounds with a running clothesline to put both men down. Shelton gets up first but Conway gains the advantage with a flurry of punches before sending Shelton off the ropes into a flying backelbow. Conway fires up. Conway hits a charging swinging neckbreaker for a nearfall. Shelton goes to Conway's eyes. Conway counters a rope whip with a powerslam 1-2-no. Conway with an Irish whip, Shelton floats over a charge, takes Conway down by both legs and applies a boston crab. Conway holds on finally grabbing hold of the bottom rope forcing Shelton to break or not. Shelton finally releases the hold upon a referee's three count. Shelton with some stomps to Conway. Shelton Irish whips but Conway leaps onto the second rope then blindly leaps off catching Shelton with a leg lariat. Conway crawls into a cover 1-2-no. Conway gingerly gets up setting Shelton up for the Ego Trip but Shelton close to the ropes hooks the top rope resulting in Conway crashing down. Shelton covers grabbing the bottom rope for leverage. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: SHELTON BENJAMIN. Not a bad match which was given some time. Both men did good all things considering. However they are both in the wrong roles. The fans still don't identify/care about Conway as a face. Shelton tried to get the fans behind Conway and some heat at the start but I think he as a heel is what Conway is as a face. I can see Conway getting some sympathy in the end (some pandering to the fans/promos may help) but Shelton should turn back face. The live reports say this match stunk but I don't agree. Conway's winless streak continues. Post match as Shelton heads to the back we check out a replay of Shelton booting Conway off the apron during the match.

Snitsky vs Phil Friedman
Friedman who does a Snitsky impression upon his introduction is a Roadkill lookalike. Snitsky receives a quiet welcome. Snitsky begins by booting the gut and sending Friedman to the corner with one punch. Snitsky hits two corner clotheslines with an Irish whip in between. Snitsky shoves Friedman down before landing an elbowdrop off the ropes. Snitsky helps Friedman up only to clothesline him back down. Snitsky tries to get the crowd going as Friedman recovers near the corner. Snitsky mistimes his charge and botches a big boot which Friedman takes in the gut before going down. Snitsky slams Friedman before finally managing to nail his big boot for the 1-2-3. Crap. I wonder who they are building Snitsky to job to. Match was an utter DUD. I'd rather have seen the Cade and Murdoch squash match which has been edited off this week's show. Here is Your Winner: SNITSKY. Post match Snitsky does his supposed menacing tongue pulling to the fans. On observation he's won round a kid in the front row who is now mimicking Snitsky when only a few minutes ago he was booing him with force. Ah the wonders of Kayfabe.

Val Venis vs Viscera w/Charlie Haas
What a main event. Former tag team partners collide to see which stalwart is the King of Heat and King of the ladies. Heat is truly the place to be. It gets all the good feuds with another one looking likely to start here. Val receives his usual reaction and does his usual spiel. Val teases tossing the towel before opting to towel and kiss a girl in the front row. Viscera comes out with his new partner to a pop. Lilian announces him as normal also seemingly with no bad blood following her recent attack by the Love Machine. Grisham informs us Val told him he's looking forward to a wrestling match with Viscera and there's no bad blood between the two. Coachman notes Viscera and Haas' cockier, meaner side which he likes. Haas and Val applaud Viscera as he goes through his pre match spiel. Code of Honor to start between Val and Viscera until Viscera slaps Val around the head. The battle lines are now drawn. Val ducks a lunge and punches away to no effect. Viscera withstands two Val clotheslines so Val goes to the eyes before continuing to punch until Viscera shoves him down. Val punches Viscera into the corner while ducking his swing attempts. Val mounts for a successful ten punch assault. Viscera takes Val down with a two handed shot to the throat. Viscera drops a leg. Viscera gets Val up, grabs him by the throat, tells him he's not his boy anymore, slams him then walks over his back. Viscera sends Val through the ropes then distracts the referee allowing Haas to slap then drive Val into the apron. Haas puts Val back in where Viscera chokes Val with his boot. Viscera gets Val up then slaps his chest from corner to corner. Val fights back with boots and punches. Val charges, Val manages to duck a Viscera clothesline but Viscera catches Val with a samoan drop. Viscera drops an elbow across Val's back. Viscera sends Val off the ropes into a backbodydrop. Haas tells Viscera to break Val's stinkin' back. Val punches back again but charges into a Viscera swinging side slam. Viscera turns Val over but struts and gyrates for too long as when he goes to run the ropes Val hooks a leg. Viscera breaks Val's grip by slapping his back. Viscera goes for a slam, Val slips behind sending Viscera to the corner front first. Val unloads yes you guessed it more punches with a chop thrown in too. Viscera blocks an Irish whip and clotheslines Val down. Val recovers in the corner, Viscera stands opposite, pumps it up, Val sidesteps a charge with Viscera hitting the corner front first. Val schoolboys Viscera 1-2-no. Val from the second rope takes Viscera down with a clothesline. Val gives the sign and heads up top for the Money Shot. Haas distracts Val to the point where he gets down and charges into a Viscera rolling heel kick. Viscera hits a splash off the ropes. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: VISCERA. Great carry job by Val here who made Viscera look great and like a real monster. Viscera and Haas are now full fledged heels after weeks of not giving any clear indications of their motives. Post match Haas and Viscera high five and celebrate with their arms raised. As speculated on at the start of this bout, Heat now has a new feud. Maybe Val can get Conway on board as a new allay. He's a better choice than Snitsky.

Grisham remarks on Haas being too much for Val by causing all the problems as Heat goes off the air. I'll give match of the week to our main event for Val's efforts. It shaded the opener to me. Snitsky was awful as usual. See you next week. Shaun.
