As expected, WWE and Sci-Fi reached a deal to renew ECW on the cable station. Vince McMahon and NBC Universal's Bonnie Hammer reached a deal earlier today. Terms of the new deal are not available at the moment.
The ECW show will remain on Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. There will also be a replay showing - Hammer will determine when that replay airs. The new deal will be publicly announced later this week. Sci-Fi initially projected ECW to do a 1.4 rating, but the show has exceeded expectations as it has averaged a 2.3 rating during the first 12 weeks.
Also, last night's ECW show did a 1.9 rating (with a 3.0 share), the lowest rating to date in its 10 p.m. timeslot. The show did quarter hours of 1.9, 1.8, 1.7, 1.9 and 2.0. This number is down from last week's 2.3 cable rating.
