WWE 205 Live preview, June 12, 2018: Gulak, Gallagher & Kendrick aim to shut down The Lucha House Party

Tonight on WWE 205 Live, Drew Gulak teams up with his newfound allies The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher to battle The Lucha House Party in six-man tag team action. Plus, does Hideo Itami deserve a title opportunity?

Will ending The Lucha House Party make for a better WWE 205 Live?

In recent weeks, Kalisto, Lince Dorardo and Gran Metalik have drawn the ire of Drew Gulak as they’ve battled The Brian Kendrick and Gentleman Jack Gallagher. Gulak, of course, is not a fan of the lucha libre style of competition and has gravitated toward Kendrick and Gallagher, who share his penchant for a more methodical and technical-based repertoire inside the squared circle. Adding to Gulak’s irritation is The Lucha House Party’s use of noisemakers during their matches.

Two weeks ago while serving as a guest commentator, Gulak – growing frustrated with Lince Dorado and Kalisto’s use of high-flying maneuvers – pushed The Golden Lynx off the top rope, allowing The Brian Kendrick to apply The Captain’s Hook for the win. Again joining the commentary team last week, Gulak watched as Lince Dorado sought retribution and defeated Kendrick in singles competition. However, after the match, The Philadelphia Stretcher charged the ring, attacking Kalisto and Gran Metalik at ringside before unleashing his rage on Lince Dorado.

Tonight, Gulak officially joins forced with Kendrick and Gallagher and will attempt to put an end to The Lucha House Party once and for all.

Does Hideo Itami deserve a title opportunity?

Last week on WWE 205 Live, Mustafa Ali and Buddy Murphy squared off to prove who deserved another chance to battle Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match. The jaw-dropping battle brought the WWE Universe to the edge of their seats as Murphy and Ali threw caution to the wind and proved why they are worthy of the championship conversation.

As Ali prepared to execute his patented 054 and secure victory, Hideo Itami launched a surprise attack on both The Heart of WWE 205 Live and his opponent. After dismantling Murphy and Ali, Itami made it clear that he not only demanded respect, but also that he is ready for an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

On Twitter, Alexander responded to Itami, explaining that until he proves face-to-face in the ring that he deserves an opportunity instead of interfering in a match, he can wait at the back of the line.

Will Cedric Alexander and Hideo Itami confront one another tonight? Don’t miss WWE 205 Live at 10/9 C on the award-winning WWE Network!
