Ring Announcer: Lilian Garcia

Welcome aboard people. Jonathan Coachman is absent this week so Steve Romero (the Voice of Velocity) has been plucked from obscurity to assist the Grishman on commentary. Let's get to the action which begins this week with......................................

Shelton Benjamin vs Eugene
Eugene needs referee Jack Doan's help to get his ring jacket off. Grisham notes a good performance from either may sway Jonathan Coachman into getting them onto the Unforgiven Card. We're also reminded that while Shelton is still coveting for it he is currently out of the Intercontinental Title mix. Eugene gets the crowd to chant his name before wiggling his backside in front of a scowling Shelton. Eugene claws his hand as he stomps toward Shelton who goes to the corner before getting the referee to step in. When both men finally lock up Shelton lands some knees to the gut before Eugene reverses an Irish whip. Eugene attempts a monkey flip, Shelton lands on his feet, Eugene from behind bites Shelton's ass resulting in a shocked Shelton jumping through the ropes then backing up the entrance ramp. Eugene must have the munchies as he takes a bite from Jack Doan's ass during Shelton's absence to pass the time. Upon Shelton's return to the ring he gains the upper hand with a test of strength. When Eugene comes back following the fans chanting his name Shelton throws Eugene down by the hair. Shelton stomps, punches Eugene but misses an elbow drop off the ropes. Eugene butts heads with Shelton ala the late Junkyard Dog. Eugene crawls outside where he puts on Shelton's ring shirt. Eugene clowns around then mounts the corner as Shelton doesn't know what to think. Shelton applauds Eugene before requesting his shades from a ring official. Shelton's request is duly obliged. Shelton offers his shades to Eugene who accepts them to complete his mock transformation. Shelton applauds Eugene again who turns his back on his opponent to mount the corner for a second time. Shelton finally halts the shenanigans by powerbombing Eugene to the mat from the second rope. Shelton stomps on Eugene before ramming him back first into the corner. Shelton pulls Eugene to the centre of the ring by the hair. Shelton delivers a snapmare followed by a swift kick to the back of the head off the ropes. Shelton punches at Eugene's head before holding him up by the hair and kicking him in the back. Eugene rolls to the apron so Shelton kicks him to the outside where Shelton shoves Eugene's back into the guardrail. Back inside Shelton chokes Eugene with his hands before driving a knee into the back and applying a rear naked choke. A worn down Eugene finally gets up with Shelton on his shoulders but Shelton counters with a sunset flip for a nearfall. Shelton stomps the back but then mistakenly rams Eugene's head into the corner three times. Shelton hasn't scouted his opponent well as after Eugeneing up Eugene lands some counter punches followed by an aeroplane spin after Eugene disposes of Shelton's shirt. Shelton blocks Eugene's Rock Bottom attempt by elbowing free. Eugene rebounds off the ropes, Eugene catches a Shelton boot then ducks under Shelton's dragon whip attempt. Eugene boots the gut, Shelton blocks a Stone Cold Stunner but walks into a Rock Bottom. Grisham predicts the People's Elbow will follow but Eugene surprises us all by climbing to the top rope. Shelton quickly springboards alongside Eugene taking him down with an armdrag from the top rope. Shelton measures Eugene who gets up using the ropes for assistance. Shelton catches a dazed Eugene with his exploder suplex for the 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: SHELTON BENJAMIN. Not much wrestling at the start but once it got going this match provided some good action. Shelton continues to build momentum albeit on Heat. Get him back onto Raw. Post match Shelton talks some trash to Eugene before celebrating in the corner.

Special Referee: Candice Michelle
Torrie Wilson vs Mickie James
Candice makes her way out first seductively climbing in over the top rope. Torrie comes out with her dog. On a sidenote Candice, Torrie and Lilian all look hot this week as usual. Mickie (who's making her first appearance here on Heat) just doesn't do anything for me though. From a lockup Mickie backs Torrie to the corner, Candice intercepts for a clean break but Mickie slaps Torrie. Torrie slaps Mickie down to the apron then drops her to the floor with a low dropkick. Torrie slides out to put Mickie back in but Mickie sends Torrie off the apron with a knee. Torrie gets on the apron at Candice's four count, Mickie pulls Torrie back in by the hair then throws her to the mat. Mickie shoves Torrie's face to the mat before covering for a one count. Candice signals a two. Mickie stomps Torrie's back before asking Candice for a faster count. Mickie drives Torrie's back into the corner before unloading with gut punches. Mickie with an Irish whip, Torrie vaults over a charge schoolboying Mickie for one. Candice registers two again. Torrie lands two clotheslines followed by a dropkick. Torrie sets up for another move which Mickie counters into a fisherman's suplex. Candice registers a one count but counts twice by slapping her own ass. Mickie argues with Candice allowing Torrie to sneak up and hit a swinging neckbreaker for a two count. Mickie argues with Candice again in the corner allowing Torrie to hit Mickie with a corner clothesline. Mickie falls down and screams as Torrie treats us to a stink face. Torrie sets up for an X-factor but Mickie kicks the gut then plants Torrie with a flying MickDDT. Mickie covers as Candice counts 1-2-then pauses before reluctantly counting the 3. Here is Your Winner: MICKIE JAMES. Post match Mickie gets Candice to raise her arm. Mickie takes a bow before going back to Torrie for some afters. Candice intervenes by pulling Mickie off of Torrie and orders Mickie to leave. Candice tends to Torrie then turns back to Mickie who delivers a spin kick. Mickie gains some more crowd heat as she blows a parting kiss to the fallen divas before taking her leave smiling and bowing her way to the back. I liked this match. Torrie's wrestling keeps improving. Mickie has gone back to her psycho heel roots following the conclusion of her mini programme with Lita. Candice was off with her refereeing skills but she's hot so I'll overlook that.

Kenny & Mikey w/Spirit Squad vs Val Venis & Snitsky (Non Title)
Main Event time. The Squad use their trampoline for their ring entrance. Val and Snitsky come out together to Val's music. The commentators big up the Highlanders noting their only loss thus far is to the Spirit Squad before concluding that this will be a tune up match for the Spirit Squad. Way to spoil the ending of the match. Val and Snitsky focus on some of the fans on their way to the ring. They're scouting for possible suitors to aid Snitsky with his foot fetish for a future Val Venis feature film production. That's just me reading between the lines though. Val throws his towel into the crowd from the second rope but we don't get to see its recipient. Kenny begins with a cranking side headlock and shoulder tackle to Val. Kenny mocks Val's gyration schtick. Val trips Kenny as he attempts to run the ropes. Val lands three shoulder tackles before showing Kenny how the gyrating is done. Kenny wanting no part of Val beats a retreat to the corner before charging into an armdrag. Val bars the arm, Kenny knees the gut to escape. Mikey tags in who runs into a hiptoss. Val winds up Mikey's arm, Snitsky tags in. Snitsky punches the arm, shoves Mikey to the corner. Snitsky lands three boots to the gut. Snitsky with an Irish whip, Mikey kicks an onrushing Snitsky. Mikey with punches, Snitsky reverses off the ropes, Kenny makes a blind tag just before Snitsky shoulder tackles Mikey. Kenny refuses to get in as Snitsky continues to battle with Mikey by hitting a hiptoss counter after a stepover. Snitsky hits a delayed slam and elbowdrop to Mikey for a nearfall. Snitsky sends Mikey off the ropes who tags Kenny again. Mikey ducks underneath Snitsky. Mikey hits an armwringer drop to Snitsky as Kenny who finally comes in takes Snitsky down with a dropkick for a one count. The Spirit Squad go to work isolating Snitsky by working over his arm with boring offense like throws to the mat, punches, stomps, etc. When Snitsky escapes Mikey's armbar and kicks him away, Kenny tags in running over Snitsky to knock Val off the apron. This causes a referee distraction to allow Kenny and Mikey to stomp on Snitsky. Kenny causes another referee distraction to allow Johnny from the outside to get a shot in on Snitsky's arm. Kenny applies a cross armbar before keeping Snitsky grounded with a kick to the leg and yank on the arm. Val is wise to another Kenny attack and punches him away from the apron but Mikey keeps the advantage for his team by driving knees into Snitsky's arm. The crowd chant Spirit Squad suck. I'm surprised they're still awake as this match friggin' sucks. Kenny goes back to the armbar as Val does his best to wake the crowd up from the apron. Snitsky gets free again and after catching Kenny coming off the ropes with a backbodydrop both men manage to tag out. Val punches and clotheslines Kenny and Mikey before slamming Mikey then booting Kenny's gut and landing a suplex. Val punches Mikey who cuts off a rope whip but in turn Val counters Mikey's lunge catching him with a half nelson slam. Val covers 1-2-broken up by a Kenny axehandle. Snitsky comes in to punch Kenny down. Snitsky sizes Kenny up for a big boot but Kenny ducks while pulling down the top rope which crotches Snitsky. Kenny dropkicks Snitsky to the floor. Nicky and Mitch distract the referee to enable Johnny to sneak in and hit Val with his Johnny-go-round kick. Kenny goes to the second rope, Mikey climbs onto his shoulders. Both men take off with Mikey splashing Val for the 1-2-3. Here Are Your Winners: THE SPIRIT SQUAD. This was a disappointing, boring main event which should have been better in my view. The Squad should be allowed to display more athleticism and skilled moves. Very frustrating. This was a match which seemed to last an eternity. On a final note I'd rather see Kenny pair up with Johnny in the future as they are the Squads two best members in my view.

Grisham shills for Mr McMahon vs Triple H from MSG tomorrow night on Raw before signing off and thanking us for watching to end the show.

I'll give best match to the Divas match and worst match to the main event. I'll be back next weekend when Heat returns. Until then take care and have a good one. Shaun.
