RAW this week starts with a moment of silence remembering those lost on September 11th.
The USMC Color Guard is on stage. Lillian sings 'America The Beautiful'. It was amazing, as usual when she sings. While she sings they show video of soldiers and the wrestlers visiting them. It was an great way to start the show at MSG. At the end the camera shows the two power lights outside representing the towers.
Flair's music hits and he comes out in a hideous pink robe, the worst I've ever seen him in. Umaga's music is next and he comes out with Estrada.
Flair attacks Umaga as he enters the ring. He chops Umaga in the corner but Umaga drops him fast. Flair then hits a chop block and more chops on Umaga. Estrada gets on the apron and distracts the ref and Flair nails 3 low blows on Umaga. Umaga pushes Flair aside with one hand. Flair leaves the ring and grabs a chair.
The ref tries to grab the chair but Flair hits Umaga over the head with it. The ref calls for the bell. Flair leaves the ring and grabs the top layer of stairs. Umaga slaps them from his hands. Flair walks around the ring with Umaga on his tail. At Estrada's word Umaga picks up Flair and Samoan drops him on the floor. Umaga rolls Flair into the ring and tosses the top part of the other set of steps into the ring.
Kane's music hits and he comes down to meet Umaga in the ring - Flair has disappeared. Kane throws punches. They exchange blows and Kane nails an upper cut. Kane goes for a choke slam but Umaga gets out and nails a belly to belly. Umaga gabs the chair and nails Kane over the head with it then across the back. Umaga talks to Estrada who's on the apron and it gives Kane a chance to sit up. Kane grabs the chair and nails Umaga with it a couple times. Umaga rolls from the ring. Kane picks up the stairs and tosses the out of the ring. Umaga gets his hands up, but it's supposed to look like Umaga gets hit in the head with the stairs. Kane leaves the ring, grabs the stairs and nails Umaga with them knocking him into the audience.
Kane enters the ring and calls for his fire while Estrada pulls Umaga up the ramp.

Vince and Shane are walking into MSG. Vince is talking about entering MSG through the 'Walk Of Fame'. They talk about the names on the 'Walk Of Fame' - Carl Lewis, Larry Bird, but the most important is cordoned off - Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince says no one walks on him, unlike how he's going to walk on DX tonight.
Kane is leaving the ring area.

The NYPD Pipes And Drums comes down and surround the ring. The Highlanders come out followed by Roddy Piper!!!! The crowd goes bloody crazy! Three kilts and bagpipes - gotta love it!
Piper calls for applause for the NYPD Pipes And Drums. Then a 'Roddy' chant starts. He says he's happy to be in NYC. He says he was skirting down 8th St. and saw a magazine showing the Worst Offenders in Wrestling and he's #1! He also glad to be there with the Highlanders.
Roddy asks Rory which one he is. Rory introduces himself. Then Robbie does his famous, "I'm Robbie!" Robbie and Roddy go back and forth with, "I'm Robbie!" "I'm Roddy!" "I'm Robbie!" I'm Roddy!" "I'm Robbie!" until Rory bitch slaps his cousin. Roddy asks why Rory did that. Rory says it's the only way to calm Robbie down when he gets going like that.
Roddy and Robbie get into a bitch slapping contest. Roddy says he hasn't had this much fun since he beat up Mr. T. He appears to be having a blast, or is drunk, or both - as usual.
The Spirit Squad comes out to break up the fun. One of them says they were watching from the back. He doesn't care if they call those things around their waists kilts or skirts, but the Highlanders, Roddy Piper and the Pipes And Drums are all dressed like girls.
Roddy says that's funny coming from a bunch of guys who had their testicles removed and replaced with pom-poms. He challenges them to a six man tag match as it's been a while since he's had a fight in MSG. SQ huddles and then agrees. Roddy tells the Pipes And Drums to play their way out. SQ looks like they aren't going to get out of their way, but they finally do.

Roddy is on top of a SQ member and tags in Robbie. Robbie climbs and flies. Robbie locks on an armbar. The other two SQ members taunt Roddy and Rory out of their corner so the three can attack Robbie in the ring.
Mikey tags in. He gets an armbar on Robbie and tags in Johnny who clotheslines Robbie in a corner. Kenny tags in and covers for two. He gets a headlock on Robbie. Robbie gets out of the hold but gets an elbow dropped on his back. Mikey tags in and covers for two. He gets a headlock on Robbie. Robbie gets to his feet and throws punches but gets tossed in a corner. Kenny tags in and nails a flying reverse elbow for two. Robbie throws punches into Kenny's gut but can't get to his corner. Johnny tags in and gets sunset flipped and Robbie gets a two count. Johnny nails a clothesline and locks on a reverse chinlock. Robbie gets out and tries to get to his corner. Johnny cheap shots Rory, but Robbie is able to tag Roddy.
Roddy takes out all three SQ members with clotheslines, back body drops and punches. Kenny gains control of Roddy until he gets tossed out over the top into his squad members. Roddy distracts the ref while Rory and Robbie slingshot reverse suplex Johnny. They roll from the ring and Roddy covers for three.

Todd Grisham is talking to Nitro and Melina outback about his six man tag match later. He asks how he prepared for the match.
Nitro says when you look as good as Nitro it doesn't matter what you do. He then goes on to talk about what Jeff Hardy said last week about their press conference.
Melina jumps in talking about Foley. She comments on firing him and how he comes in week after week talking about that happened, like, twelve years ago.
Nitro jumps back in and starts mocking Foley.
Suddenly there's laughter behind them. Jeff is standing back their with an abstract painting he 'was working on'. There are only two colors of paint swirls on the canvas.
Nitro kicks over Jeff's easle and painting.
Jeff gets pissed about 'his painting'. Jeff grabs his bucket of yellow paint and throws it in Nitro's face, some splatters on the camera. He then grabs the bucket of blue paint and throws it in Nitro's face.
Nitro falls to the floor covered head to toe in paint while Melina screams her head off.

Video from Bad Blood 1997 Hell In A Cell between HBK and Undertaker. HBK flies off the side of the cell and through the Spanish announce table.
Edge's music hits and he comes out with Lita. Her boobs are actually covered tonight. And she NOT wearing an Edge t-shirt - It's black and pink with lime green skull and crossbones. Edge grabs a mic and tells the crowd that he knows they pride themselves in being intellectuals, but that's debatable. Tonight is Cena's last RAW appearance. Then he's going back to where he came from - Smackdown. He can go back to cutting raps. He wrote something to inspire Cena. He turns his hat sideways and starts reading from a crumpled piece of paper. "We're heading to Toraonto for some homecooking. Where the people are like New yorkers except much better looking". He talks about beating Cena with tables, ladders and chairs. Then he says something about how the Yankees choked in 2004. "Cena will be leaving Edge to face King Booker. Which is like going from the lovely Lita to a NYC hooker."

The five heels are in the ring. Nitro is still covered in paint, looking very Smurfy. Looks like Melina got nailed with some of the paint too as her tatas have big blue paint splatters on them. Jeff Hardy comes out and waits outside the ring. Carlito is out next, without Trish. He waits with Jeff. Cena's music hits and he makes his grand entrance. The crowd seems mixed, but mostly possitive. Edge is in the ring screaming at him. The three of them roll into the ring together and the heels flee. Carlito takes off his shirt and throws it in Orty's face.
Nitro gets sent in by the other two, then Orty enters the ring. Jeff and Nitro start. Melina distracts Jeff and he gets attacked from behind by Nitro. Nitro throws punches in a corner but Jeff reverses it and whips Nitro. He then jumps and drops his heels into Nitro's abdomen. Carlito tags in and nails a standing drop kick on Nitro for two. Nitro slams Carlito into the heel corner and tags in Orty. Carlito gets whipped and slammed. Carlito clotheslines Orty and then nails a back elbow for two. Edge tags in to a huge intelligable (but negative) chants. Carlito nails a standing hurricanrana on Edge for two.
Cena tags in and Edge hides in his corner. he tags in Orty. 'Cena' Chants - HUGE! Cena yells for Edge to tag in. Orty gets whipper and suplexed and Cena covers. Edge rushes in to break up the count. Cena atacks Edge who scurries to his corner. Orty attacks Cena from behind.
Nitro tags in and throws right hands at Cena who's sitting in a corner. Cena bounces to his feet and drops Nitro. Carlito tags in and suplexes Nitro for two. Carlito gets tossed face first into the heel corner and Orty tags in. Orty gets a headlock on Carlito Carlito gets out and nails a hard flying clothesline for two.
Jeff tags in and tries to clothesline Orty from the ring but Ory jumps to late to make it over the top. Jeff stomps Orty to the mat. Orty gets hung up on the second roopes and choked. Jeff then sets Orty up and is able to clothesline Orty over the top this time. Jeff goes to fly but crashes and burns, hurting himself more than Orty. Edge spears Jeff on the outside. Cena rushes over to protect Jeff. Jeff gets rolled back in the ring and Edge tags in. Edge pickes Jeff up by his hair and...

Edge has Jeff in a half Boston crab. Jeff gets out but Edge tags in Nitro who grabs Jeff before he can tag out. "Let's go Cena" and "Cena sucks" chants alternate from the crowd. Head scissors take over from Jeff but he can't get away from Nitro. Orty tags in and stomps Jeff down in a corner. Edge tags in and gloats over Jeff. Jeff throws punches into Edge's gut but can't get control. Jeff gets whipped, runs up the corner and corkscrew flips back into Edge.
Carlito and Orty tag in. Carlito gets tossed into the ropes, he was going to springboard but Edge or Lita pulls the ropes down so Carlito flies from the ring. Back in the ring Edge gets a leglock on Carlito. Carlito slams his other leg down hard on Edge's chest to get out of the hold. Nitro tags in and nails a neckbreaker for two. Nitro chokes Carlito on the bottom ropes. The ref gets distracted and Edge punches Carlito in the head. "Go to Smackdown" and "Stay at RAW" chants alternate from the crowd.
Nitro gets a headlock on Carlito in the center of the ring. Cena is urging Carlito on from the corner. Carlito gets to his feet and elbows out. Carlito nails his springboard reverse elbow and crawls over to tag Cena.
Cena attacks Edge and the takes out Nitro with a face plant. Cena then drops Edge. Cena is about to go for the 5 knuckle shuffle when Orty shows up behind him to set him up for the RKO but Carlito runs in to nail a back cracker. Jeff climbs and nails his swanton on Orty who rolls from the ring. Cena gets Edge up for the FU, but Nitro pulls Edge out. Edge rolls from the ring and Cena grabs Nitro. Cena nails the FU on Nitro and then locks in the STFU. Nitro taps out while Edge and Lita are already fleeing up the ramp.
(I have not heard such a loud crowd through the TV from RAW in a long, long time! Don't know if it's the location, the day or the combination of the two - though it's probably both.)

Vince is talking to Shane about how great his win will be tonight. How it will be passed down to his grandsons Decklund (?) and Kenyon (?) and his granddaughter Aurora Rose. How it's for his daughter Steph and his son Shane. How it's for his father and his grandfather. Shane just stands there and looks at him, almost like he's trying not to laugh.

Slam Of The Week - Masters puts out an open challenge. Super Crazy comes out and beats him.
Masters is in the ring. Super Crazy comes out to face him.
Masters kicks Crazy and then beats him down. A knee to Crazy's face and then slammed to the mat. Masters throws punches but Crazy tries to fight back. Masters gets a reverse chinlock on Crazy. Crazy gets to his feet. Crazy gets whipped, climbs the corner and flies back at Masters. Crazy gets whipped and then a shoulder to the gut. Crazy gets whipped and then clotheslined in the corner. Crazy gets whipped and ducks the clothesline.
Crazy climbs and nails a dropkick off the top. Crazy then nails a standing moonsault for two. Crazy nails an arm drag. Masters telegraphs and gets kicked for it. Crazy nails a sunset flip and again covers Masters for three! Masters is quite pissed.

Smackdown Rebound shows Batista against King Booker. Regal interferes, as does Sharmell and Finlay. Booker wins. Fit nails Batista after it's over. He keeps beating down Batista until he's quite bloody.
Toby Keith is in the front row.
Mickie James comes out in a brown and gold mini with matching tank and gold sequined belt. She bounces around the ring as usual. Her hair is pulled up and curly this evening. Trish comes out all smiles. Trish is wearing a scrolling LED belt buckle that says 100% stratusfaction.
She keeps grinning as they lock up. Mickie gets and armbar on Trish. Trish flips out and rolls Mickie up Mickie's panties are gold sequined and sparkle as she rolls from the cover.
Trish gets a side headlock on Mickie. Trish ducks a kick and takes down Mickie. Trish goes for her corner handstand head scissors but is pushed off. Mickie does a victory roll for two. They both then clothesline each other. Both are down. Trish then is able to nail her corner handstand head scissors. Trish nails some forearms and then does her handstand head scissors inm the center of the ring. Trish goes for the chick kick, but Mickie ducks.
Lita rushes down and climbs on the apron to distract Trish. Trish grabs Mickie for stratusfaction. Rather than bouncing her feet off the top rope she bounces them off Lita's face. The camera angle was perfect and showed that she actually used Lita's face, not her hands or chest - It was great looking! Trish covers Mickie for three.

Trish extends her hand to Mickie. Mickie nods at Trish and shakes her hand. The two then pull each other in for a tight, heartfelt hug. It was obvious that they were both feeling it. The let go and Mickie backed out of the ring talking to Trish with tears in her eyes.
Trish grabs a mic with tears in her eyes. She has trouble starting. She says simply, "Thanks everyone for coming on this amazing, awsome ride. Thank you!"
Bad Blood 2003 HHH and Kevin Nash in Hell In A Cell Foley is guest ref. HHH wins. (I didn't realize Trip had done so many HIAC matches.)

24/7 - September 13, 2001 - Huston, TX. All rivalries were put aside and the wrestlers came out just to entertain and make the fans feel better. (I remember reading that Vince wasn't sure he should have that show. He wasn't sure he should put on a event so soon after such a tragedy. After some thought he decided that the fans needed some entertainment and went on with the show even though it was only two days later. It was the first big entertainment event after the tragedy and a lot of people in the industry thought Vince was smart going on with the show. It made a lot of people relax and feel a little more normal after everything that had happened.)
JR and King run through the matches slated for Unforgiven.
DX is walking outback. Murdoch and Cade walk up to them and ask where they think they're going. DX says through them. They attack Cade and Murdoch only to have Shane and Big Show appear. Show works HBK over while the other three attack HHH. HBK gets bounced off the hood of the limo a couple times while HHH gets tossed around. They end up slamming HHH's head in the back door of the limo.
Vince shows up and kneels over a bleeding, prone HHH. He says that their match is now No Holds Barred.

Vince comes down to the ring by himself. Vince yells at the ref a bit before sitting up on top in a corner to wait for HHH. DX's music hits and no one shows at first. Finally HHH staggers out and falls to one knee. He's bleeding quite a bit from his left ear. The doctor is running along side him trying to keep him from coming out. Trip staggers down the ramp and gets in the ring.
HHH tries to hit Vince but missed. Trip hits the mat. Vince hits HHH an couple times, each time Trip hits the mat. Vince headbutts HHH's ear. HHH is down and Vince kicks him in the gut. Vince takes off his belt, he straddles HHH, who's on his knees, and chokes him with the belt. Vince picks up his belt and wrapsit around his hand. "HBK" chants. Vince throws punches and HHH falls out of the ring. Vince follows him out. Vince throws HHH head first into the ring post. HHH doesn't even gets his hands up. Vince kicks HHH in the face.
Back in the ring Trip struggles to his feet in a corner. HHH crotch chops at Vince. Vince low blows Trip and then pedigrees him. Vince covers but HHH kicks out. HHH is stting up. Vince kicks him in the head, but HHH gets to his feet. Vince tosses some punches to no avail. HHH thows some punches but gets nailed bith a spinebuster. Shane gets on the apron but HHH knocks him down. HHH gets Vince ready for apedigree but Shane nails HHH in the back of the head.
Shane gets a chair but HBK rushes down to the ring. It takes two tries but HBK nails an inverted atomic drop on Shane. Show enters the ring and powerbombs HBK. His head hitting the mat was kind of gross.
HHH comes out from under the ring with his sledge, but it's immediately taken from him from Shane as he enters the ring. HBK gets nailed with a chair by Shane as Show holds him. They then hold HHH for a chair shot, but Vince stops it and makes it a sledge shot. Vince covers HHH for three.
Shane, Vince and Show stand over HBK and HHH in the ring. Show raises both Shane and Vince's arms in victory.
