The feud between CM Punk and Shannon Moore isn't expected to last too long. When Punk slapped Moore on ECW on Sci Fi last week, it was the perfect example of blowing off a program before it really started. Their forthcoming matches will still have a reason though, as this may be Moore's only chance to look good and make a spot for himself in ECW. If he doesn't impress WWE officials with some good matches, he probably won't be pushed again and his future may be in doubt. Considering that Punk is being groomed for a push, this is unlikely to be an even feud as Punk will be going over him strong. Moore will need to save himself by selling well for Punk.
ECW.com has finally replaced the old Pro Wrestling Illustrated photo of Francine with a brand new promo photo for her profile page. They've also added a bunch of new photos to her page from a recent photoshoot. And after 14 weeks of non-appearances, she will finally make her television debut on ECW on Sci Fi next week (not including her 5 second appearance on the 8/1 show) as the new manager of Balls Mahoney. It was only a few weeks ago that Francine appeared to be on the chopping block - WWE was thinking of letting her go after her house show bikini contest program with Kelly Kelly ran its course. However, it looks like WWE has changed their tune on her and that she'll finally be a fixture on ECW programming now. Click here to see the new Francine pics.
Here is the ECW on Sci Fi taping schedule for the next few weeks: the 9/19 show was taped prior to Smackdown last night, the 9/26 show will be live, the 10/3 show will be live, the 10/10 show will be taped prior to the 10/9 Raw, and the 10/17 show will be taped prior to Smackdown on 10/10. ECW on Sci Fi will be taped a lot more often from now on as they don't plan on holding ECW-only tapings anymore due to high costs and little financial gain. Although, WWE is holding an inordinate amount of SuperShows during the next few weeks, so that's why a bunch of the shows will be taped. When the WWE schedule gets back on track after mid-October, the shows will be live again.
