ECW Rating Plummets, Test/Kelly, Paul Heyman/Katie Couric

Last night's edition of ECW did 1.6 cable rating with a 2.0 share. That number is the lowest rating yet in the show's brief history. The show did quarter hours of 1.4, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5 and 2.0. The rating is probably down due to the increased competition on television last night. In addition to the debut of the new fall lineups on the broadcast networks, there was a lot of competition on cable as well. ECW ran up against the Dog Bounty Hunter special on A & E and did its best rating ever - a 3.3 cable rating. They also ran up against Nip/Tuck on FX and that did a 3.0 cable rating.

The rumored relationship between Barbie "Kelly Kelly" Blank and Andrew "Test" Martin appears to be legit because Test now ranks number one on the top 24 list on Kelly's MySpace page whereas her now seemingly ex-boyfriend was placed several spots down - he was previously ranked number one on the list for a good while. Also, Kelly and Test were seen arriving together at the 9/11 ECW taping at Madison Square Garden. They're reportedly traveling companions when on the road in between shows.

Prior to his radio show appearance on the Ron & Fez Show on XM Radio earlier today, Paul Heyman encountered renowned CBS newsanchor Katie Couric at the world famous Brooklyn Diner in New York City. What will make the encounter memorable is that Heyman picked up the check for Couric's meal. Couric was reportedly thankful and "touched" by the gesture. On ECW.com, Heyman explained his encounter with Couric. Heyman said, "It was my pleasure. Hey, I have a brilliant future, while she just peaked!" Heyman also added, "Hey, I think she likes me."
