Commentators: Todd Grisham & Steve Romero
Ring Announcer: Steven DeAngelis (I think)
Greetings Heat fans. I think the ring announcer this week is Steven DeAngelis from ECW. Let's give him a warm Heat welcome. The Raw B squad get a runout this week before Heat most probably goes back to being in special edition format yet again next week due to ECW being taped with Raw tomorrow night. On a quick sidenote who else saw most of this week's Heat squad in cameo form during Shelton Benjamin's backstage promo this past week on Raw? Without further ado let's go straight to the action which begins this week with............................
Snitsky vs Jacques Blitzken
Lockup leads to a Snitsky headlock. Grisham and Romero can't get Blitzken's name right. He's Jobbed on Heat many a time before. Blitzken tries to fight free but Snitsky clubs him to the mat. Snitsky sends Blitzken off the ropes into a shoulder tackle which floors Blitzken. Snitsky runs the ropes, Blitzken goes for a hiptoss but Snitsky counters with a vicious clothesline. Blitzken rolls onto the apron for a breather. Snitsky adavnces so Blitzken goes to the eyes. Back inside Blitzken goes for an armbar but Snitsky drops him with a right hand. Snitsky lands an Irish whip followed by a corner clothesline. Blitzken rebounds into a backbodydrop. Snitsky takes Blitzken down with a big boot for the pinfall. 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: SNITSKY. Thankfully kept short. Next!
Eugene & Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Jared Steele & Russell Simpson
These Jobbers have teamed before. Hacksaw instigates the normal USA chant to begin. After some stalling Simpson applies a wristlock. Eugene rolls through into a reversal before taking Simpson to the mat following a couple of armwringers. Eugene keeps the wristlock applied before deciding to take a bite out of Simpson's ass. Eugene must have forgotten to have lunch. Hacksaw tells Eugene not to do that from the apron. Eugene crawls under a charging Simpson before calling a halt/test of strength. Eugene keeps switching arms before finally getting the best of the test of strength. Eugene takes Simpson down by the arm then throws him down again before taunting both Jobbers with his customary wiggle. Eugene offers Steele a free takedown attempt but Eugene counters with a single leg takedown of his own then a rolling leg whip. Hacksaw takes over on Steele with an elbowdrop, two head rams to the corner and a successful mounted ten punch assault. Hacksaw lands a hiptoss off the ropes before applying a headlock. Steele sends Hacksaw to the Jobber corner where despite his resistance is worked over with punches. Simpson Irish whips Hacksaw but misses a corner charge allowing Hacksaw to tag out. Eugene lands tomahawk chops to Simpson then a poke to the eyes of Steele. Simpson blocks a Stone Cold Stunner attempt by shoving Eugene into the ropes. Simpson cowers to the corner begging time out. Simpson tells Eugene his boot is untied, Eugene bends down allowing Simpson to boot him in the head. Simpson chokes Eugene with his hands before Steele takes over clubbing Eugene down and delivering a back suplex for a nearfall. Steele applies a reverse chinlock before delivering some knees to the head. Steele delivers a neckbreaker before Simpson drops a forearm onto Eugene and covers for three consecutive two counts. Simpson traps Eugene in a head vice, Eugene fights out with elbows and two head rams to the gut but Simpson cuts him off with a knee to the head. Simpson turns to argue with Hacksaw only to turn back to receive a Rock Bottom from the now recovered Eugene who makes the hot tag. Hacksaw lands a series of punches to Steele. Hacksaw slams both Jobbers then bashes their heads together after a series of punches to them. Eugene and Hacksaw whip the Jobbers into one another resulting in Simpson crashing through the ropes. Eugene and Hacksaw finish off Steele with a double three point stance shoulder tackle. Hacksaw covers 1-2-3. A longer than usual squash match which wasn't all that bad. The Jobbers got a decent amount of offense in although Hacksaw was kind of protected throughout. Here Are Your Winners: EUGENE & HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN
Rob Conway vs Val Venis
Looks like Conway's face turn has been abandoned as he's gone back to his natural heelish ways/mannerisms by brushing off the fans during his entrance. Customary entrance/towel spiel for Heat's favourite son Val Venis. Lockup leads to a jostle in the corner followed by shoves from both men. Conway gains the early advantage with a side headlock, shoulder tackle, hiptoss counter and dropkick. Conway plays to the fans who boo as Val reconsiders his strategy. Val comes back with a side headlock and three shoulder tackles with the third one sending Conway to the outside. Conway steps onto the apron but backs off and opts to take a breather as Val advances. Conway steps back in to boot Val in the gut. Conway works over Val with punches, kicks and foreams in the corner. Val reverses an Irish whip, Conway floats over a charge then favours his leg for a moment as Val chops away on Conway's chest. Conway reverses Val off the ropes, Val telegraphs a backbodydrop with a boot to the head but Conway shifts the momentum in his favour by hanging a charging Val up on the top rope. Conway nails a running boot to the head for a nearfall. Conway punches away on Val's head and stomps the chest. Val gets sent to the outside following a running knee to the head. Conway goes out to the apron then leaps off throwing Val's head onto the arena floor. Back inside after two consecutive nearfalls, Conway stomps and punches away on Val's back. Conway punches the chest then Irish whips Val who hits the corner back first before crashing to the mat. Conway drops an elbow across the back for a one count. Conway applies a nerve hold to Val's back. Val escapes with backelbows and a punch but he charges right into a sleeper. Val escapes by running backwards squashing Conway in the corner. Conway ducks Val's punch attempt as he goes back to the sleeper. Val escapes a second time following a jawbreaker. Both men exchange punches and forearms with Val winning out. Val follows up with a clothesline, backelbow, Irish whip, corner clothesline. Val hits ten further corner clotheslines followed by a fisherman's suplex. 1-2-no. Val chops Conway before sending him off the ropes and catching him in a half nelson slam. Val heads to the top rope, Conway cuts him off with punches and forearms before going for a superplex. Val punches and shoves Conway off before finishing his climb and connecting with the Money Shot. 1-2-3. Good match between two very talented workers and criminally underutilized Raw superstars. Here is Your Winner: VAL VENIS. This match gets my vote for Heat match of the week.
Grisham shills for John Cena vs Edge in a steel cage tomorrow night on Raw as Heat fades to black. End of show. I'll be back next week with Heat in whatever form it's in. Until then take care, have a good week and I'll catch you later. Shaun.
