From WWE.com:
With personal pride and honor on the line at Armageddon’s main event Sunday night, World Heavyweight Champion Batista and his partner, WWE Champion John Cena, walked away victorious over King Booker and Finlay. While Booker and Finlay look to settle their own growing differences like men, will someone else rise from the SmackDown food chain to challenge the Animal for his title?
Death Becomes Them
Many predicted that Montel Vontavious Porter and Mr. Kennedy were dead men walking into their respective contests against Kane and Undertaker at Armageddon. However, no one could have expected that both men would take the Brothers of Destruction to their absolute limits. Despite losing his Inferno Match to the Big Red Monster, MVP established himself as a serious player in the SmackDown ranks. Meanwhile, Kennedy was literally inches away from laying Undertaker to rest in their Last Ride Match, until the Phenom somehow rallied and silenced the loudmouthed Superstar. What condition will any of these four men be in when they enter Hampton, Va. this Friday night?
Defining Champions
Armageddon normally heralds the end, but Sunday night’s pay-per-view was the start of something truly special for WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick, plus Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms. It was certainly a defining moment in London & Kendrick’s careers, who overcame not only SmackDown GM Theodore Long’s surprise holiday present to WWE fans, but The Hardys, MNM, and William Regal & Dave Taylor in a four-way Tag Team Ladder Match. Meanwhile, it’s almost assured that Helms, the longest reigning champion in WWE today, will carry the Cruiserweight title into 2007. Then again, you never know what will happen next in WWE.
The Armageddon aftermath begins on SmackDown this Friday night at 8/7 CT on the CW Network.
