More Cuts On The Way?, Jazz Comments On Release; 24/7 On Time Warner

WWE may announce a few more releases later today. One factor in all this is the discontinuation of the ECW standalone house shows. Considering that they have to combine talent on the SmackDown/ECW house shows, they'll largely use the top people from both brands, but in the end it leaves out the undercard talents because there's no room to fit them on the card. So basically, they're getting rid of a bunch of talent they are not using or have no plans on using. Also, when the ECW house shows were first dropped, the internal belief was that they would return shortly after Wrestlemania 23. That seems to be off the cards now.

The recently released Jazz sent out the following bulletin on her MySpace.com account (myspace.com/jazz_and_rodney_mack) in regards to she and husband Rodney Mack being released by WWE yesterday:

WE JUST WANTED TO THANK EVERYONE FOR SUPPORTING US. AS YOU KNOW WE BOTH WERE RELEASED FROM WWE. WE FEEL THAT WE DIDN'T GET THE OPPORTUNITY WE DESERVED, BUT LIFE GOES ON AND SO ARE WE. SO TO ALL OF OUR FANS WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT. JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT WE ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANY BOOKINGS. JAZZ

WWE 24/7's next big clearance looks to be Time-Warner Cable. The two parties have had some discussions and they hope to debut WWE 24/7 on TW within the next six months, although there's no firm commitment yet from the cable provider.
