WWE House Show Results (3/12/07) - Delhi, New York

I attended last night's Smackdown/ECW House Show on the SUNY Delhi Campus in Delhi, NY.

The show was awesome! Even though the site was the size of a small high school gym,
the place was full to the brim. The show started at 7PM and was done at around
10PM. Here are the results:

The event started with Tony Chimmel coming to the ring and introducing Teddy Long.
Long came out and ran down the card for the night, and thanked everyone for showing
up. He then exits and gives high fives to everyone around the ring.

1) Cousin Ray Gordy and Henry Godwinn vs. William Regal and Dave Taylor

Taylor and Regal came out to huge boos, while many people didn't know who the Gordy
and Godwinn were. The crowd however was really into Cousin Ray and Godwinn. A lot
of funny moments in this match. The end saw Godwinn pin Dave Taylor with the Slop
Drop.

Winners: Cousin Ray Gordy and Henry Godwinn

After the match, Teddy Long brought in a young boy who was supposed to be Gordy and
Godwinn's manager, but that didn't end up happening because Tony Chimmel was being
impatient. Chimmel got a lot of boos for that and for the rest of the night.

2) Snitsky Vs. Hardcore Holly (fought under ECW Extreme Rules)

Snitsky came out to new theme music that really fits his character. Holly got a lot
of crowd applause when they found out he was fighting Snitsky. Beginning saw both
men fighting back and forth. Funny moment in the match occurred when Holly went to
use a table, but when he brought it out from under the ring, one of the legs was
broke. Snitsky ends up winning with a big boot to the face while Holly is holding a
chair.

Winner: Snitsky

3) Kristal Marshall Vs. Michelle McCool (Special Guest Referee: Jillian Hall)

Typical divas match. McCool played the heel and did a damn good job doing so.
Marshall won with a roll up. Afterwards, Hall attacked Marshall and says that she
knows what the crowd wants, so she starts singing. Terrible...completely terrible.
Kristal comes back in and attacks Hall, getting some cheers.

Winner: Kristal Marshall

4) Triple Threat Match for the Cruiserweight Championship

Gregory Healms Vs. Funaki Vs. Chavo Guerrero (Champion)

This one was one of the best matches of the night. Healms actually got a really
good face crowd response, while Funaki's wasn't much of anything. Chavo of course,
played the heel. Match went back and forth, each wrestler getting the advantage at
some point. Chavo wins the match with the Gory Bomb.

Winner: Chavo Guerrero

5) Finlay Vs. The Undertaker

The crowd went absolutely insane when the Undertaker came out. When the Undertaker
made it halfway to the ring, his music stopped. He waited a while to see if it
would come back on, but it didn't, so he made his way to the ring. Everyone went
crazy when he brought up the lights. Match was back and forth, with Finlay getting
a lot of boos for constantly exciting the ring. Little Bastard or whatever they are
calling him these days makes an appearance. While Finlay and LB are in the ring,
Undertaker sits up and the crowd goes nuts. Undertaker wins with a chokeslam and
the Tombstone Piledriver.

Winner: The Undertaker

INTERMISSION

6) United States Championship Match

MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) Vs. Chris Benoit (Champion)

Benoit got a huge pop, while MVP got booed. Pretty good match with MVP flipping off
the crowd during. MVP does Benoit's throat cut and flying headbutt but misses.
Benoit does he headbutt, but gets a 2 count, then locks on the Crippler Crossface.
MVP taps out.

Winner: Chris Benoit

7) Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker, Elijah Burke, and Kevin Thorn (The New Breed)
Vs. The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, and Balls Mahoney (The ECW Originals)

No RVD...not sure why. Heels try to leave before the match starts, but Originals
chase them down and send them back in. At one point, Cor Von hits the pounce on the
Sandman and knocks him right out the ring. Sandman lands wrong and the officials
come down. Not sure if this was a legitimate injury or not. End saw the Original's
Tommy Dreamer DDT Matt Striker for the win.

Winners: The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, and Balls Mahoney (The ECW Originals)

8) Main Event World Heavyweight Championship Match
Mr. Kennedy Vs. Batista (Champion)

Kennedy, of course got booed. However, he is a god on the microphone. He called
SUNY Delhi "SUNY Cobleskill," which everyone booed. He also said that he
appreciated us taking out time out our busy schedules from humping our sheep to come
and see him. Hilarious! Batista comes out to a huge pop. The match was actually
very good, with the momentum going back and forth. Batista wins with a spinebuster
and a Batista Bomb.

Most Heat:
Mr. Kennedy
Finlay
The New Breed
Chavo Guerrero

Biggest Pop:
Undertaker
Batista
Chris Benoit
ECW Originals

Afterwards, we waited outside to see if we could see any wrestlers. Tommy Dreamer
was already outside getting pictures with people. Sabu stopped and talked with a
group of us, while Matt Striker just walked right past us not saying a word. Mr.
Kennedy and Helms stayed and got pictures with everyone. I have pictures of me with
both Sabu and Mr. Kennedy. Batista just left, even thought there were only 10 of
us.

Overall, the show was awesome. This was my first live WWE Event, and it was great!
