RAW Report 4/9/07 Conn.

RAW this week starts with music and pyro.

Shane O'Mac comes down to the ring. Shane grabs a mic and listens to the heat before talking. He says McMahon is one of the most powerful and prestigious names through the world. "You suck," chant. The name is usually garnered with fear and respect. But the past few weeks the name has be followed by laughter due to what happened at WM at the hands of Trump and Lashley. Shane talks about the McMahon family dynasty and how he's 4th generation, his sons at home are 5th generation. Tonight's about putting respect back in the name. He calls out Lashley.
Lashley comes out to good pop in a suit without tie. He faces Shane in the ring to a "Bobby," chant. Shane says he took his family's dignity at WM, so tonight he plans on taking his. He's taking the one thing that identifies Lashley, his title belt. His title will be on the line against Shane McMahon. Lashley removes his jacket ready to fight.
Umaga's music hits and he comes out with Estrada. Shane leaves the ring and says he appreciates the offer but Estrada needs to take his man outback. Estrada argues and Shane bitch slaps Estrada. Shane then stares down Umaga until he backs away.
Shane says he's going to enjoy giving Lashley the beating of his life.
Lashley says he wants to make it interesting. If Shane wins he gets the ECW Title. If Lashley wins, Shane gets shaved bald.
Shane tells Lashley he doesn't make the rules. Shane's his boss and makes the rules. But when it comes to title against hair, Lashley's on!
Shane backs up the ramp glaring at Lashley while he stands in the ring holding up his belt.

Foley is talking about his new book some more.

Mickie James comes bouncing down to the ring in black pants with pink designs on the legs and a TIGHT black halter. Video of Mickie attacking Melina last week. Candice Michelle comes out to tag with Mickie. Candy takes off a long coat to reveal red boy shorts, cutout red leg covers and a red and black corset top. Victoria comes out in a black one piece pants outfit with lots of lacing over the belly and chest. Melina comes out in her usual two piece outfit in white and black.
Candy and Melina are in the ring, but Melina wants Mickie. Mickie tags in and takes control. Mickie flips Melina by her hair and then hits a snap mare on Melina. Candy tags in and comes off the top rope to take down Melina's arm. Candy keeps working on the arm and then hangs over the side trapping Melina. Vic kicks Candy from outside. Vic tags in and covers Candy a couple times for two. Vic ties up Candy up-side-down in the heel's corner. Melina tags in and beats on Candy. A suplex from Melina for two. Melina then pulls Candy's arms back with her knee then gets feet in her back. Candy's face gets slammed into Vic's knee brace. Vic tags in and comes over the top, but Candy moves.
Candy is able to tag Mickie who comes in with back body drops and head scissors to Vic. Mickie covers for two after a hang man. Melina rushes in to break the cover. Mickie takes care of Melina and hits her spike DDT on Vic for three.

Candy and Mickie celebrate their way up the ramp while Melina holds up her belt and says to Mickie, "I'm your Woman's Champion."

Foley is outback with a little boy, Michael, who is the honorary GM for the night. They meet up with the Highlanders and Foley makes the introductions. He then introduces the Divas. Guess this is what Foley was talking about last week, the Make A Wish Foundation and how something big would be happening this week. He then has the kid do a cheap pop and the crowd goes wild.

Flair and Carlito come down to the ring with Torrie. Flair's in a black and blue robe, Torrie in a black strapless dress. Carlito takes a mic and talks about how Flair said he didn't have heart and passion. Carlito was pissed at the time, but he's thought about it. Flair is particular about who he associates with. Carlito shows a video of old Flair vignettes and people talking about Flair - HHH, Ricky Steamboat and Barry Windham. Carlito says Flair had gold around his waist in the video, and after their win tonight they will have a shot at the Tag Titles at the next PPV. Carlito hugs Flair. Cade and Murdoch come down to the ring.

Flair is in the ring with Cade. A clothesline from Cade then Murdoch tags in. Murdoch mounts Flair and throws punches. They get to their feet and Flair throws chops. They double team Flair and Cade splashes Flair, then Murdoch takes Flair down. Flair throws more chops. A drop toe hold from Murdoch. Murdoch throws a couple chops. Carlito is able to tag in and takes down Murdock a couple times. Carlito hits drop kicks on both Murdoch and Cade who enters the ring. Carlito covers Murdoch and Cade breaks the count. Carlito goes for his spring board back elbow but there's no one to connect with. They double team Carlito and Murdoch covers for three while Flair is outside.

- Winners: Cade & Murdoch

Flair enters the ring and tries to talk to Carlito who just looks at Flair. Carlito just shakes his head and leaves the ring in disgust at himself. Torrie chases him up the ramp and tries to talk to him as he stomps out.

Shane is out back getting ready for his match. Coach comes in. Shane gives him heck for not knocking. Coach talks up Shane and his wonderful ideas. Coach touches Shane and Shane snaps at him. Coach says he's Vince's assistant and wanted to give Shane some advice. Shane says that since Coach has been advising him, Vince has been slapped, pushed over a table and shaved bald. Coach needs to worry about himself and let Shane take care of things - He IS a McMahon.

HBK is outback with Grisham. Grisham wants HBK's thoughts about his match with Orton. HBK says nice guys might not finish last, but they don't finish first. So he's going to tell it how it is from now on. He has more desire so he's going to win tonight. Orton walks into the shot and says HBK's days are over and Orton's going to win tonight. HBK yells , Ding, ding, ding, tell him what he wins!" He says Orton's the 1000th person to tell HBK he's not going to amount to anything. He wins dentures to replace the teeth HBK's going to knock out tonight.

Orton comes down for his #1 Contender Match. HBK comes down to face him. HBK is in leather sleeves with crosses and lots of cross dangles - He hasn't been wearing his flashy costumes lately.
They lock up, HBK gets a side headlock on Orton. Orton strong arms his way out during an, "HBK," chant. HBK gets a hammer lock on Orton. Orton reverses it. They struggle and Orton is down on one knee in an arm lock. Orton gets to his feet and uses HBK's hair to slam him to the mat. Orton gets a two count. A hammer lock on HBK. "HBK" chant. HBK reverses the hold. Orton elbows out and hits a clothesline. HBK hits a side headlock takeover. HBK is bleeding from over an eye due to the elbow to the face. HBK still has the side headlock on Orton. Orton gets out and hits a knee into HBK's gut. Orton boots HBK in the gut and then hits a few forearms to his chest. Orton slams HBK to the mat and then tries to drop a knee, but HBK moves out of the way. HBK hits a chop block on Orton. HBK leaves the ring and slams Orton's knee on the apron. HBK re-enters the ring and drops a knee on the back of Orton's knee. HBK drops an elbow to Orton's knee. HBK gets a hold on Orton's leg but Orton hits HBK to get out. HBK kicks Orton's leg a couple times, but then gets flung into the ring post shoulder first.
Suddenly Edge is sauntering down the ramp. Orton yells at him. HBK quickly rolls a distracted Orton up for a long two count.

Orton has a headlock on HBK who battles out. Orton hits a back body drop on HBK. A back elbow to HBK who falls through the ropes to land on the apron. HBK gets DDT'd through the ropes for two. Orton covers again for two. Orton stomps his way around HBK. HBK bolts up and hits a bunch of chops on Orton. HBK goes for a sunset flip and uses Orton's tights for the two cover. HBK slams Orton for another two. Orton gets a chinlock on HBK. HBK fights to his feet and they exchange blows. HBK hits a swinging neck breaker on Orton, both are down for 8. HBK chops Orton to the mat. Orton hits a couple right hands. HBK goes for a high forearm but Orton moves and and the ref is taken out. An inverted atomic drop on Orton and HBK climbs. HBK hits his flying elbow and starts to tune up the band. Edge distracts HBK and Orton clotheslines HBK over the top. Both men fly outside and are briefly down. Orton is watching Edge but hits an RKO on HBK on the floor outside.
Orton picks up HBK and shoves him into the ring. Orton yells, "Get out of here!" at Edge. Edge goes for a cheap shot on Orton who gets out of it and goes for the RKO. Edge gets out of it and hits the spear on Orton. Edge rolls Orton back in the ring. Edge then shoves the ref back in to the ring during an, "HBK" chant. Another ref rushes the ring and starts the count. HBK gets to his feet at 9. HBK hits sweet chin music on Orton. HBK falls over Orton. His bum is on Orton's chest. The ref counts three and calls for the bell. One ref calls for HBK to be the winner, the other ref says Orton won as HBK's shoulders were also down during the cover. (I seem to remember HBK doing this before in a PPV match with HHH a couple years ago with the same results.)

- Winner: Undecided, either, both!?!

Edge is very happy with all the chaos he's caused in the match as he backs his way up the ramp.

JR and King talk about what just happened in the HBK and Orton match. They show video of what just happened.

Shane is outback and Orton rushes in screaming about what just happened in the ring. Shane says this is what he's been saying about respect. Orton is 3rd generation and should know how the chain of command works. He needs to talk to Coach. Orton apologizes and leaves.

Foley is still out back with the "GM". He gets autographs from Val and others. He then gets to meet Cryme Tyme. When Nitro comes by, he just glares and keeps walking. Coach comes up and says Michael can make the little decisions, like about what color trunks the wrestlers should wear but Coach will be running things tonight. Foley and Michael try to say something but Edge comes up and yells at Coach about what just happened. Coach says he's heading to talk to the refs and walks off. Foley says to Michael, "We tried to tell him..." And then finish together, "And he just wouldn't listen."

Slam of The Week - Last week's Battle Royals when HBK screwed Cena and the Hardy's win the tag titles.

Jeff and Matt Hardy come down to the ring with their new belts to huge pop. Haas and Benjamin come down to face them.
Matt and Haas lock up. Haas gets an arm hold on Matt. Haas telegraphs and gets kicked in the chest. Jeff tags in and they double elbow Haas. Shelton rushes in and gets slammed. Jeff climbs and Shelton runs up the ropes to kick Jeff in the back of the head. Jeff falls and Haas gains control. Haas covers for two. Shelton tags in and punches Jeff in the back of the head and then knees to the gut. A snap mare to Jeff followed by a headlock. Jeff elbows out and then hits a reverse mule kick.
Matt tags in and Haas rushes in. Matt takes them down at the same time with a bull dog and a clothesline. Haas gets flipped over the top and lands on the apron, Jeff knocks him off. They hit poetry in motion on Shelton. Matt hits a twist of fate on Shelton and Jeff follows in with a swanton bomb. Matt covers for three.

Edge is out back heading for the ring.

Edge's music hits and he comes down for The Cutting Edge. Edge grabs a mic to a small, "You suck," chant. Before his guest he wants to comment about the #1 Contender Match. He says they both lost the match. He had a conversation with Coach and they seemed to agree that Edge should be the new #1 Contender. He starts to announce Cena and Orton's music hits. Orton comes out and Edge quickly leaves the ring. Orton grabs a mic and screams at Edge that he cost Orton the title shot. Orton says he spoke with Coach who agrees with Orton that Edge is the last person who should be facing Cena for the title. Orton says he will be facing Cena at the next PPV. HBK's music hits and he comes out saying it's their turn. Last week he came out and told Cena what he thought. This week he's telling them he believes he's the better man. As far as he's concerned it needs to be the rematch of all remmatches. He needs to face Cena at the next PPV.
Cena's music hits and he comes out to where the three other men are waiting for him in the ring. He tells them to hold on and they have a problem. This whole thing has gone horribly wrong. They are supposed to be out there talking about Cena. Instead they're talking about their packages.
He says his last match with Edge was a TLC match in Toronto, Edge's idea, and Edge couldn't get it done. Orton complains he never had a one on one shot for the title against Cena. There's one person to blame for that - himself. Cena's never backed down from a challenge. So if he wants to dance, Cena's easy to find. That leaves HBK. He'd hate to see his former partner disgruntled. He wants to relive WM, the greatest moment in sports entertainment history. If he wants some, he needs to come get some. Now they just have to decide who's first.
Coach comes out and says Cena doesn't make matches. Shane is taking care of last week, so Coach will take care of this. Edge and Orton were the only one to have enough respect to seek out Coach after what happened earlier. So it will be Orton and Edge against Cena in a handicap match. The one to make the pinfall gets the title.
Foley's music hits and he comes out to say Coach doesn't make the decisions tonight. Foley doesn't make them either. He says he tried to tell Coach earlier, but he wouldn't listen. Foley introduces Michael and makes a cheap pop for the crowd. Michael says the match at Backlash will be Cena against Orton against Edge against HBK for the title.

Shane and Lashley are out back heading for the ring.

Shane O'Mac comes dancing out and down to the ring. Lashley comes out.
Shane tackles Lashley as he comes through the ropes. They are both outside. Lashley tries to throw Shane into the ring post but Shane wiggles off his shoulder and Lashley hits the pole. Shane then makes Lashley slam into the side of the ring. Lashley is on his knees and Shane shoulders him into the stairs. Back in the ring the bell sounds to start the match and Shane covers for two. Shane keeps attacking quickly until Lashley hits a belly to belly followed by a clothesline. Lashley hits a back body drop. Lashley then tosses Shane across the ring. Shane gets to his feet and hits the ref to get disqualified.

- Winner: Lashley via DQ

Lashley keeps beating on Shane when Umaga's music hits. Estrada and Vince (in a hat) come down with him. Umaga beats down Lashley in a corner. Umaga hits his bum slam on Lashley, twice. Shane enters the ring and Vince hands him a chair. Shane hits Lashley over the head, hard, with the chair. Lashley is busted wide open. Shane drops an elbow on Lashley's back, a couple times.
Shane and Umaga hold Lashley in a sitting possition, he's gushing blood. Vince pulls off his hat and yells at Lashley. Vince tells Lashley that at Backlash Lashley will be facing Umaga and Shane and Vince for the ECW Title. Vince says that at Backlash the ECW Title will be coming to the McMahons. Vince then tells them to destroy Lashley. They get Lashley to his feet and Umaga hits Lashley with a Samoan spike.
