New WWE Doctrine Requires Divas Show Less Skin

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

The reason why WWE divas have been dressing more conservative lately and showing less skin on WWE television is because of a new doctrine instituted by the company. Apparently WWE wants more mainstream advertising and decided they needed to make their divas appear “classier” without having them come off as “slutty.”

WWE brought in a consultant to give all women in the company new wardrobes and advice on how act on television to come off as a woman with class. In addition to the consultant, WWE has hired new diva hair stylists and makeup artists.

Company officials no longer want divas wrestling matches in short skirts that expose their backside or wearing tops that their breasts are falling out of. While it is still ok for a diva to show cleavage, they do not want their divas looking strippers. Another reason for the recent changes could be from Linda McMahon being considered a top American executive and given the way the divas have been portrayed lately, it could have caused some embarrassing situations for her.
