WNEP recently reports that Jaxson Dempsey, an 8-year-old boy, watched an episode of Nickelodeon’s The Substitute featuring WWE legend John Cena, where Cena was demonstrating a technique and that boy used that same technique to help his sister from choking.
While speaking to Amanda Eustice, Jaxson Dempsey discussed the incident, where he and his sister were driving to his haircut, and he noticed she was starting to choke from a chicken nugget they purchased from McDonald’s. Dempsey then said that he told his dad to pull over, then he was starting to pat his sister's back, and the chicken nugget got out.
Dempsey said, “We were driving to my haircut, and I noticed she was starting to choke from a chicken nugget from McDonald’s.” “I told my dad to pull over. Then I was starting to pat her back, and it got out.”
Jaxson then said John Cena showed how to save someone when they’re choking when he was on a show that is called The Substitute on Nickelodeon.
Jaxson Dempsey said, “It’s called The Substitute on Nickelodeon, and in the very first episode, John Cena was on it, and in the last part, he showed how to save someone when they’re choking.”
Matt Dempsey, the father of Jaxson Dempsey, then said thank God Jaxson was there because without him, he doesn’t know if Lelia would be here.
Matt Dempsey said, “If I was by myself and Jaxson wasn’t with me, and I stopped and gave her a chicken nugget, I couldn’t hear her because she was choking. She wasn’t coughing; she wasn’t panicking. She just had no air going through; she wasn’t breathing.” ”Thank God Jaxson was there because, without him, I don’t know if Lelia would be here.”
