WWE Smackdown! *Spoilers* (7/2/07) - Dallas, Texas

Smackdown:

Matt Hardy def. MVP in a Non Title match, which I did not hear them announce. Hardy got one of the loudest pops. It was a long match and there was clearly a commercial break in the match.

Chris Master def. Jimmy Wang Yang, Khali then came out and slammed Yang. Then announced a challenge to anybody for Great American Bash.

Edge went into Teddy Long’s office and said he was not wrestling tonight. Teddy said he could just do a Cutting Edge segment and he had a special guest for him. It would be the biggest superstar he ever had on the Cutting Edge. (We all thought it would be Khali again)

The Major Bros def. Jimmy Young and Mike (somebody, I want to say Knox, but that does not sound right).

Khali attacked some guy backstage.

Fit Finlay def Ric Flair, using the Shillelagh and a cross leg submission (type of figure four) after Little Bastard interfered. LB really did not do anything except take a chop from Flair.

Chuck Palumbo def Kenny Dykstra. No reaction for this match at all.

There was an altercation backstage between Victoria and Torrie.

Duece and Eugene ended when Khali came out and chopped Duece out of the ring and then slammed Eugene. They then claimed no one would accept Khali’s challenge for Great American Bash. Batista came out and though he never said anything it was obvious he accepted the challenge.

Edge came out to do the Cutting Edge segment with the mystery guest. Out came Kane. Edge talked about his matches and then said how he was good but not as good as Edge. Kane then said, “I don’t like you” and slammed him over the ropes. Edge said he would never get in the ring with him again. Teddy came out and announced Edge vs. Kane for the title at Great American Bash. Not sure if they will show all the Edge sucks signs the front row had or not, but Sign Guy came with a bunch of signs that he was handing out to everyone in the front row.

Then we went to Raw.

They did a couple of teaser videos for HHH, not sure if those were shown on TV or not, but the reaction to HHH was one of the biggest and if he had come out, that would have been the largest pop. It was tough to tell who got the loudest pop vs loudest heat as I was sitting in a section of mostly heel fans. It was just heels – yeah, faces – boo. It was interesting because they were really torn at the end when the two guys they were booing squared off against each other in Lashley and Cena.

We all also felt Super Crazy should get the title shot because technically he had the time to beat.
