Smackdown / ECW House Show
The Sovereign Bank Arena was only about half full tonight. I guess you would
have to expect that being that Summerslam is tomorrow night at the Meadowlands
which is about 50 miles, give or take, from Trenton. Here are the results.
Match # 1.
Deuce & Domino w/Cherry @ ringside vs. Festus & his brother (I can't remember
his name) Festus & Brother come out to the same music that Hillbilly Jim used
to come out with only now there is no words just music. Decent match.
Festus's brother is funny. Reminds me of George the Animal Steele.
Winner: Festus & Brother
Match # 2.
2 on 1 Handicapped match - Big Daddy V vs. Nunzio & Stevie Richards. Squash
match, only lasted about 4 or so minutes.
Winner: Bid Daddy V. The boogie man came out and grabbed V's manager (I
forgot his name too.) and put worms on him.
Match # 3.
Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Chavo Guerro. Good match but the finish stunk.
Winner: Chavo
Match # 4
MVP vs Matt Hardy. Decent match
Winner MVP (he held Matt's trunks)
Intermission
Match # 5
Tommy Dreamer & CM Punk vs Elijah Burke & John Morrison. OK match
Winner: Dreamer & Punk
Match # 6
Michelle McCool vs Victoria - very good match.
Winner: Michelle McCool by Submission.
Match # 7
Kane vs Finlay - Good Match. Funny stuff with Hornswaggle
Winner: Kane
Match # 8
Eugene vs Mark Henry. Henry was funny on the mic. Nice work with the lights
going out to pretend Undertaker was coming out. Crowd went nuts.
Winner: Mark Henry
Match # 9
Khali vs Batista. Fair match
Winner: Batista by DQ. Finlay runs in to beat on Batista then Kane comes in
to chase him off.
The crowd went nuts for Batista
After the show I stood by the parking area where there were about 100 or so
fans waiting for the wrestlers to come out to their cars. 1st was Eugene who
came out looking like a normal person wearing jeans and a T-shirt. He was with
some hot girl. It looked like Victoria, but I'm not positive of that, He was
having trouble getting into his compact car. His car door wouldn't open so he
gave the keys to the girl to she could get in on the passenger side then open
the door to let Eugene in. As this was going on Mark Henry was coming out to his
car. Eugene sees Mark Henry coming out of the arena and Eugene takes a water
bottle he was carrying and throws it hard at Mark Henry. Henry looks around
and sees Eugene getting in his car. Henry grabs the water bottle from the ground
and launches it towards Eugene's car. The water bottle misses and hits the
wall hard with water exploding out of the bottle. A security guard standing
close by sees this and just shakes his head.
Over all it was a decent show. Not great but decent.
