Additional Information On WWE Releasing Ridge Holland From His Contract

As previously reported, WWE has terminated the contract of former star Ridge Holland ahead of its expiration due to some recent public comments he made.

Sean Ross Sapp provided further details about Holland's exit in the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers. When questioned about whether the decision to terminate Holland’s contract came from a WWE executive or someone at WWE's parent company, TKO, Sapp clarified that the decision originated within WWE itself. He also mentioned that TKO chose not to overturn the decision once it was made, effectively endorsing it. This termination decision was communicated and reinforced at multiple levels within the organization.

Following the announcement of his contract termination and while he was sidelined with an injury that required likely neck fusion surgery, Holland took to social media to voice his grievances. His critical remarks were viewed by WWE as a breach of contract, which led to his early termination. Holland later expressed regret for his comments, stating they stemmed from a place of frustration. Despite the termination, WWE will still cover the costs of Holland’s injury rehabilitation, as failing to do so could result in potential legal action against them.
