AEW ALL IN RESULTS (8/27/2023)
The "Zero Hour" pre-show for AEW ALL IN 2023 is on-the-air live now. Renee Paquette checks in from inside Wembley Stadium alongside Anthony Ogogo, Kip Sabian and Paul Wight. They talk about the enormity of today's show and then run down the lineup.
RJ City Checks In From "Royal Box"
From there, they send things to RJ City, who checks in from the "Royal Box" inside Wembley Stadium. He runs down some odd stats like how many toilets are in the stadium and then sends things back to the pre-show panel after mentioning how he's going to p*ss himself with excitement.
The panelists ham it up after the shenanigans from RJ City, and then they send us into our first elaborate video package breaking down a match on today's show. The first package, which is just the videos from each match featured in the Countdown to AEW ALL IN 2023 special from TNT last night, shows the build-up to Chris Jericho vs. Will Ospreay.
After the package wraps up, the panelists give their thoughts on the match and then send us into the next video package, this time looking at the events leading up to the AEW World Tag-Team Championship showdown between The Young Bucks and FTR. The package wraps up and then Wight, Sabian, Ogogo and Paquette weigh-in with their thoughts.
Now the talk transitions to the Stadium Stampede showdown between Blackpool Combat Club, Santana & Ortiz vs. Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Best Friends & Penta El Zero Miedo as Bush's "Machine Head," which appears to be the theme song for the show, plays again in the background. We then head into the video package for the Stadium Stampede bout.
We then head into the package for The Golden Elite vs. Bullet Club Gold. The panelists talk about it, with a lot of talk focusing on Don Callis. We then head into the package for the Coffin Match with Darby Allin & Sting vs. Swerve Strickland & Christian Cage. The panelists give their thoughts afterwards and then they send things down to ringside.
ALL OUT Contract Signing For Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Miro
Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone welcome us inside the floor level of Wembley Stadium as the camera pans the massive venue and shows fans still filtering into the building. The commentary trio are shown on commentary and they talk about their excitement for the show. They then mention ALL OUT coming up next week. We shoot inside the ring where Powerhose Hobbs is standing.
Hobbs has a microphone in his hand as he stands in the ring with a ton of people in black t-shirts standing behind him. There's a table and a contract for the Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Miro match at ALL OUT. Hobbs says Miro has yet to sign the papers. As he continues talking, he is interrupted by the theme for Miro. Out comes "The Redeemer" to a nice pop from the crowd that has made it inside the building thus far.
Miro settles in the ring as Excalibur hypes their bout at ALL OUT by saying, "This is gonna be two meaty men slappin' meat!" No, really. That's verbatim. Miro signs the contract as a loud "F*ck'm up, Miro! F*ck'm up!" chant spreads. Miro and Hobbs go face-to-face but then Hobbs turns and walks off. He tries turning back for a sneak attack but Miro lays him out. Security rushes Miro to restrain him.
Hobbs tries coming back in the ring but Miro breaks free and decks him. Miro starts laying out the security guards as well. He pulls down his straps and soaks in the admiration from the crowd. Miro grabs the mic and says the contract is just words but next week at ALL OUT, redemption is coming for him. Like Iron Shiek, he vows to break his spine and "make him humble." His theme plays again to end the segment.
Grado, Paul Wight & Anthony Ogogo Beat Down Jeff Jarrett & Co.
From there, the entire Countdown to AEW ALL IN 2023 show seems to air as blatant time-filler. We then return live inside the venue where Tony Schiavone is in the ring thanking all of the fans for being here. Before he can say anything else, the theme for Jeff Jarrett hits.
"Double J" comes out with Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, Karen Jarrett and Satnam Singh. Jarrett comes to the ring and bullies Schiavone with his crew behind him. Jarrett says American fans are responsible for tonight's show, not U.K. fans. The fans chant "Shut the f*ck up!" as he rambles on.
Now some music plays and out comes Paul Wight and Anthony Ogogo and Grado comes out as well. They head to the ring to confront Jarrett's heel group. Wight knocks out Satnam Singh with a punch. Grado beats down Jarrett. Wight chokeslams Lethal. Ogogo knocks out Jarrett and then Grado blasts Jarrett with a guitar shot.
RJ City Talks To Some Fans Inside Wembley Stadium
Once this wraps up, we shoot back to the panel where we see Renee Paquette and Kip Sabian, as they wait for Paul Wight and Anthony Ogogo to make it way back up there to the pre-show area. They kill time and then send us into a video package for the Trios title bout with The House of Black vs. The Acclaimed & "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn.
The package wraps up and then we check in with RJ City once again. He makes a big deal out of how many U.K. fans are in the house. He has some excited fans at his side and he begins interviewing them, only to find out they flew in from Phoenix. Nice. Paquette criticizes him for not vetting his interview subjects first. No accent? That shouldn't of been that hard, RJ!
We return to Paquette and Sabian, who then send us into the video package for our main event of the show, which will feature the "Bro-Mance" of the Better Than You Bay-Bay duo of MJF and Adam Cole duking it out for the AEW World Championship. After the package wraps up, we return to the panel area with Paquette and Sabian. The camera pans the venue, which is now looking pretty impressively full. Wow. They talk about tonight's main event and the shakey friendship of MJF and Adam Cole.
ROH World Tag-Team Championships
Aussie Open (C) vs. MJF & Adam Cole
Now the panelists send us back down to ringside, where Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone get us ready for our first match of the evening here on the Zero Hour pre-show. "The Dapper Yapper" Justin Roberts begins the introductions for the bout and the crowd goes absolutely bonkers.
The theme for the champs hits first and out comes the Aussie Open duo of Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher to defend their ROH World Tag-Team Championships. They settle in the ring and their music dies down.
From there, we hear the familiar sounds of the mashed up mixed theme for the Better Than You Bay-Bay duo of MJF and Adam Cole. The crowd explodes with a sustained roar as the two make their way out in matching ring gear and settle in the ring.
After that, we see the four guys start brawling to get this one off to a hot start. MJF and Adam Cole take over and work over the champs with good double-team offense. They hit their first big double-clothesline a couple of minutes into the bout and the crowd erupts once again.
Cole tries hyping MJF up for a dive to the floor, which he normally won't do. He goes to do it but Aussie Open yank Cole out before he leaps through the ropes. They head into the ring and start working over MJF with double-team offense.
We see the champs connect with an Aussie Arrow for a close near fall on MJF. After Friedman kicks out, the fans loudly chant "MJF! MJF!" as he tries to get back into competitive form in this opening tag-team title tilt. MJF fights back and hits a double Kangaroo Kick on Davis and Fletcher for one of the biggest pops you'll ever hear.
This is followed by a loud "Holy sh*t!" chant. You gotta love it. They tag in and build up the big double clothesline and they connect for another huge roar. Cole makes the cover and we have new ROH World Tag-Team Champions.
Once the match wraps up, we see the two celebrate and then Cole stops and takes a long hard stare at MJF's AEW World Championship. MJF notices this and raises the title as the two stare each other down. Cole leaves by himself and heads to the back as MJF celebrates with his two titles alone in the ring.
Winners and NEW ROH World Tag-Team Champions: MJF & Adam Cole
Mercedes Mone Shown In The Crowd
Now we shoot back to the pre-show panelists, where we see Renee Paquette and Kip Sabian are once again joined by Paul Wight and Anthony Ogogo.
They talk about the ROH tag titles changing hands and then we see the camera show a tight, close-up shot of Mercedes Mone sitting in the crowd. The fans roar upon seeing her in the building.
FTW Championship
Jack Perry (C) vs. HOOK
From there, we head back in the venue where HOOK's theme hits and "The Cold Hearted Handsome Devil" makes his way to the ring for our next match of the evening here on the "Zero Hour" pre-show.
He settles in the ring and then the theme for the reigning and defending FTW Champion hits and out in a giant limo comes Jack Perry. When he exits the limo, HOOK runs up and attacks him, running him into the limo and beating him down.
We see some more back-and-forth action, with Perry starting to take over on offense. He starts to channel his inner-Rob Van Dam, hitting a Rolling Thunder on the limo. He also slams HOOK through the windshield. In the ring, Perry hits a Coast to Coast spot with a trash can to channel some more trademark RVD offense.
With the action settled into the ring now, Perry slows things down and taunts HOOK while also mocking the crowd. The fans chant "He's a wanker!" at him and then HOOK starts to show signs of life. He launches Perry with a big suplex before hitting another overhead suplex where Perry slams into the turnbuckles in the corner awkwardly.
As Perry takes over again it sounds like the crowd starts chanting "Double wanker!" or something along those lines. They love that word 'wanker' over there, eh? Perry puts the trash can on HOOK and climbs to the top-rope backwards. He goes for a huge moonsault but HOOK moves.
HOOK then turns Perry inside-out with a big shot and then folds the trash can over the dome of the FTW champ. HOOK then locks in Red Rum and gets the tap out victory to win the FTW Championship.
Winner and NEW FTW Champion: HOOK
AEW ALL IN PPV Opener Revealed
Once the FTW title bout wraps up, we shoot to the panelists again and the pre-show gang begins the build-up for what will be the opening match on the pay-per-view card of AEW ALL IN 2023.
Kicking things off on the main card will be CM Punk defending his "REAL" AEW World's Heavyweight Championship against Samoa Joe. They show us the video package for the Punk-Joe bout and then talk about the match and share their thoughts.
Paquette then begins running down the entire card for today's show once again as Bush's "Machine Head" plays in the background and the official match graphics flash across the screen. They give their thoughts and then we wrap up the "Zero Hour" pre-show.
"REAL" AEW World Championship
CM Punk (C) vs. Samoa Joe
We shoot to the commentary section where Excalibur is joined by Nigel McGuinness and Jim Ross as we get ready for our first pay-per-view match of the evening. The familiar sounds of Samoa Joe's entrance tune plays and out he comes to chants of "Joe! Joe! Joe!"
He settles into the ring and then his music dies down. The theme for CM Punk plays and the crowd loudly boos. However when the lyrics to the song start playing, they start singing along to it. Punk emerges from the back to a loud mixed-bag reaction and proclaims it to be "CLOBBERING TIME!" as he heads to the ring.
The "champion" and the challenger are in the ring and it's time for our pay-per-view opener here at ALL IN in front of an absolutely massive, jacked-up crowd inside Wembley Stadium in London, England. The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one.
After the two soak in the atmosphere, they begin getting after it, with Punk taking Joe down with a side head lock and holding onto it forever. Joe tries suplexing his way out but Punk hangs onto it. Joe finally slides out of the ring and begins chopping the hell out of Punk.
Now the two work their way back into the ring where Punk hits a wild hurricanrana that sees Joe spiked on the top of his head. Punk tries following up with a flying splash on Joe on the floor, however Joe simply walks away and then does the "jerk off" gesture to mock Punk.
The action continues on the floor with Joe sending Punk through the bottom of the commentary table. Punk emerges from inside the commentary desk and his face is already a crimson mask. Punk gashed deep, folks! "The Best in the World" has blood free-flowing as Joe flips him off.
He then proceeds to further pummel him with punishing offense as the fans cheer him on. Joe goes for a Muscle Buster but Punk escapes out the back door and starts to show signs of life for the first time in a while.
Now we see Punk taking over and beating on Joe after connecting with a big roundhouse kick. Joe starts to "Hulk Up," with the fans even doing the "YOU!" shout when Joe points at Punk. Joe starts to beat Punk down once again and he begins locking in various submissions on the mat in an attempt to finish this one off.
Punk goes for a running knee on Joe in the corner after surviving the submission attempts and fighting back into the lead. Joe catches him and hits an ST-Joe out of the corner. He sits Punk on the top rope again, likely looking for the Muscle Buster once again. Joe ends up chopping Punk so hard that he falls off the ropes onto the apron.
Joe brings Punk back up to the top and is looking for a high spot of some kind, with Excalibur speculating that it's an Avalanche Muscle Buster. Instead, Punk counters, bites Joe and hits a super Pepsi Plunge off the top-rope for the pin fall victory. Punk retains his "title" with the win.
Winner and STILL "REAL" AEW World Champion: CM Punk
The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, "Hangman" Adam Page & Kota Ibushi) vs. Bullet Club Gold (Jay White & Juice Robinson) & Konosuke Takeshita
Of all the matches, we go from CM Punk's bout to a match with "Hangman" Adam Page and Kenny Omega, who are joined by Kota Ibushi for the return of The Golden Elite trio, who will square off against The Bullet Club Gold duo of Jay White and Juice Robinson, as well as Konosuke Takeshita.
The video package for this bout airs now as we get ready for our second pay-per-view match of the evening. After the video wraps up, we shoot back inside Wembley Stadium where The Gunns duo of Colten Gunn and Austin Gunn accompany "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson and "Switchblade" Jay White to the ring. Konosuke Takeshita comes out next with Don Callis.
After the first three-man team settles into the ring, we gear up for the elaborate entrance for our next team. This brings out "Hangman" Adam Page first by himself, and then the Japanese star of Kota Ibushi. The two wait at the top of the stage and then Kenny Omega's theme hits. The Golden Elite trio of Omega, Hangman and Ibushi head down to the ring for this trios bout.
The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one. After some early back-and-forth action from both teams, with a lot of frequent tags, we see the momentum and pace pick up when Kenny Omega enters the picture.
He knocks the Bullet Club Gold duo out to the floor and amps up, pounding the mat to the tune of the Terminator theme, which the fans loudly do behind him by clapping to the tune, before launching himself with a crazy flipping splash to the floor. From there, The Bullet Club Gold duo and Takeshita take over, with Omega looking to hurt his wrist at one point on his own.
White and Robinson take turns tagging in and out to keep Omega down and out and isolated on their side of the ring. Robinson knocks Omega out and hits a senton for a close near fall. Finally, Hangman Page tags in and goes on a wild offensive run. The Gunns start getting involved and then Don Callis leaves his spot on special guest commentary and when all is said and done, The Bullet Club Gold and Konosuke Takeshita steal the win.
Winners: Bullet Club Gold & Konosuke Takeshita
AEW World Tag-Team Championship
FTR (C) vs. The Young Bucks
If you had to guess, with "Hangman" Page and Kenny Omega's match following CM Punk, which match would be next after that ... what would you say? You'd be right! It's The Young Bucks!
The pre-match video package airs to get us ready for the trilogy battle between two of the best tag-teams on the planet, as FTR defends their AEW World Tag-Team Championships against The Young Bucks.
Now we return live inside Wembley Stadium where The Young Bucks' theme hits and out comes Nick and Matt Jackson for this highly-anticipated showdown. The duo settle into the ring and their music dies down.
We hear the familiar sounding Midnight Express-style theme after that, which brings out the FTR duo of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. The reigning and defending AEW World Tag-Team Champions head down and settle inside the squared circle.
Harwood and Wheeler have bands on their arms in honor of Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk. The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one. We see Harwood and Jackson kick things off for their respective teams as the crowd atmosphere grows in anticipation in the background.
Wheeler tags in soon after and he and Nick Jackson begin mixing it up. We see things pick up a bit and then all four guys end up in the ring doing a wild four-person striking exchange to get the crowd on their feet. From there, The Young Bucks start to take over.
After a while, Harwood gets the hot tag and starts firing at everyone that moves with big punches, as Jim Ross, as always, makes sure to point out on commentary that he's the best striker in the game. Did he witness him beat someone up at a bar once or something? I'm not privvy to the need to point that out everytime he's throwing punches in the ring.
Dax ends up getting double-teamed by Nick and Matt, who again start to settle into a comfortable offense lead in this tag-team title tilt trilogy. FTR hit a big double-team spot that pops the crowd and garners a loud "This is Awesome!" chant. Wheeler and Matt duke it out on the floor while Nick beats down Harwood in the ring.
Harwood ends up connecting with a Young Bucks-style super kick of his own that decks Jackson. Wheeler springboards in for a 450 splash but Jackson moves. Jackson follows up with a big high spot of his own. The crowd is going bonkers as the two teams start to pick up the speed and intensity, presumably heading into the finish of this one.
The Young Bucks hit a BTE Trigger and think it's over, but somehow Wheeler hangs on. Harwood checks on Wheeler but realizes Nick and Matt are waiting behind him. He hesitantly turns around into a Shatter Machine from The Young Bucks duo. They think they've got this one wrapped up, but somehow FTR hangs in there.
The crowd and the commentators are going wild at what is the best match of the show thus far. Another loud "This is Awesome" and "This is Wrestling" chant breaks out from the jacked up London crowd inside Wembley Stadium. Seconds later, Harwood and Wheeler hit their finisher and pull off the win in a memorable trilogy bout with The Young Bucks. FTR retains the titles with the victory.
After the match, FTR celebrates their win and then we see a stand off between the two teams. Harwood and Wheeler extend their hands to Nick and Matt. Nick and Matt decide against it, in Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate fashion, turning their backs and walking off instead. The fans loudly boo as The Young Bucks head to the back.
Winners and STILL AEW World Tag-Team Champions: FTR
Stadium Stampede
Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Penta El Zero Miedo & Best Friends vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Santana & Ortiz
Now we see the video package for our next match, which is the highly-anticipated Stadium Stampede showdown pitting NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, Penta El Zero Miedo of The Lucha Bros and the Best Friends duo of Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor teaming up.
The baby face team make their way out to the ring, as does their opposition, which features the Blackpool Combat Club trio of Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta joining forces with the team of Santana & Ortiz.
We're all ready to rock and roll and the Stadium Stampede is now officially off-and-running. We see action everywhere, with Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli, as well as Wheeler Yuta and Chuck Taylor all fighting to the backstage area.
In the ring, we see Penta El Zero Miedo and Santana duking it out in the ring with a steel chair. Jon Moxley enters the mix and helps beat down one-half of The Lucha Bros. He hits a big cutter and a king kong lariat before connecting with a paradigm shift.
Mox now pulls out skewers that you use for cooking and such, for kabobs and whatnot. He goes to use them but gets stopped. Penta has them along with a hammer or mallet and he begins pounding the spikes into the dome of Mox as the crowd absolutely insane.
Obviously we see Mox's face turn into a crimson mask, but he recovers and gets a chair in the ring, which he uses to beat down the AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy. Mox then unfolds the chair and sets it up, before blasting Cassidy with a brainbuster onto it.
A board and barbwire is shown being thrown into the face of Trent Beretta of The Best Friends in the ring. We check in with Chuck Taylor and Eddie Kingston, who have an umbrella ad something else that they're using to stab and smash Wheeler Yuta and Castagnoli with.
Later we see a bottle smashed over someones head in the back as they continue to brawl. In the ring, Trent's face is all bloody as a barbed wire covered ladder is brought in. Trent is slammed on it by Santana and Ortiz, who play to the crowd afterwards. Trent's face is a bloody mess.
Mox has a barbed wire board that he slams Trent on. Trent is truly taking a vicious beating for real today. Ortiz hits a big splash off the top-rope on Trent and goes for the cover, but somehow Trent hangs in there and kicks out. A bloody Orange Cassidy is being beaten on by Ortiz and Santana on the floor.
Mox brings Trent over to the ring steps and hits a big pile driver on the surgically repaired neck of him. Santana and Ortiz are using a fork to stab away at the bloody Cassidy at ringside. We see Kingston, Yuta, Castagnoli and Chuck return from the "Royal Box" in the upper deck that RJ City checked in from during the "Zero Hour" pre-show.
The crowd breaks out into a "We want tables!" chant. We see tables brought to the top of the stage. As they battle it out, Trent's mom pulls up in her van and gives the babyfaces some trays of cookies and brownies to beat up the BCC and duo of Santana & Ortiz with.
Penta comes out and joins back in on the fun for another big pop. After a bunch more fun at the top of the stage, we see the bodies start to find their way back down into the ring. For the first time in the match, Castagnoli is in the ring. Cassidy goes for the Orange Punch but Claudio stops him and gets him in the giant swing.
Ortiz puts Trent through a table on the floor off the top-rope as Claudio continues to swing Cassidy. Castagnoli calls for the finish but ends up eating an Orange Punch from Claudio. And a second one. He hits a big third one and goes for the cover, but Castagnoli kicks out.
Cassidy wraps his hand in backwards sticky tape and then breaks a bucket of glass and dips his hands in it, Ian vs. Axl Rotten style from the old ECW days. Cassidy can't use the loaded up broken glass fist, because Mox stops him. Mox goes for a big spot but Cassidy counters with a DDT, with Mox landing face-first in the bucket of broken glass.
Eddie Kingston makes his way out from the back covered in blood, with a barbed wire wrapped chair in his hand. He heads to the ring and beats down everyone in sight with it. An even bloodier Mox comes up to him and the two go face to face.
As they do, Cassidy hits an Orange Punch finally with his hands covered in the broken glass. This picks up the win for his team, ending a very bloody, violent, memorable Stadium Stampede showdown at ALL IN.
Winners: Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Penta El Zero Miedo & Best Friends
AEW Women's Championship
Hikaru Shida (C) vs. Britt Baker vs. Saraya vs. Toni Storm
After the Stadium Stampede battle wraps up, we head to our next pre-match video package, which tells the story leading up to tonight's four-way showdown for the AEW Women's Championship between Hikaru Shida, Britt Baker, Saraya and Toni Storm.
We return live inside Wembley Stadium and it's time for our next title bout of the show. We hear "We will rock you!" by Queen and out comes Saraya of The Outcasts with her entire family with her. They all head down to the ring together as the fans sing along with the lyrics to the song.
Some anthemic music plays now to bring out Toni Storm. The former AEW Women's Champion heads to the ring to join her fellow member of The Outcasts, who are actually opponents tonight.
The familiar sounds of Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.'s theme hits and out she comes ready for action on the biggest stage of her career. Fireworks explode as another former women's champ heads out.
Finally, the theme for the reigning and defending AEW Women's Champion hits and out comes Hikaru Shida. The formal ring introductions are out of the way and it's time to get our next title bout of the evening officially off-and-running.
It isn't long before we see issues within The Outcasts, as the two argue over who gets the pin after taking out Shida and Baker early on. The next several minutes of the match is dedicated to them while Baker and Shida lay around like goofs. Toni Storm accidentally knocks out Saraya's mom when she was holding Baker for Storm to deck.
After this, Saraya goes on a rampage, taking out Shida and Baker, who again play second fiddle to the real focus, Saraya and Storm. Ruby Soho runs out and Storm accidentally decks her as well. Baker gets to shine for a handful of seconds, slipping on the glove and doing her "D.M.D." finger gesture to the crowd.
Baker goes for the LockJaw but is stopped. Shida gets to shine for about a minute or so and then we return to what clearly matters, so we're being shown throughout this match, which is that Saraya is in her home country. She ends up spraying the eyes of her own fellow member of The Outcasts and gets the win. She has an emotional post-match celebration with her family.
Winner and NEW AEW Women's Champion: Saraya
Coffin Match
Darby Allin & Sting vs. Swerve Strickland & Christian Cage
It's time for our tag-team Coffin match, as the video package airs now telling the story leading up to the showdown pitting Darby Allin and Sting against Swerve Strickland of The Moguel Embassy and Christian Cage.
After the video package wraps up, we return back live inside Wembley Stadium. Swerve Strickland's theme hits and out comes DJ Whoo Kid and Flash Garments, who performs Swerve's theme live. It comes off pretty bad at first but smooths out a little bit. It was to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop.
Christian Cage comes out next, wearing the TNT Championship around his waist, of course. He settles in the ring alongside Swerve Strickland and the two await the arrival of their opposition.
We see a really elaborate pre-entrance "cinematic experience" type video with "The Joker" Sting and Darby Allin riding around a skateboard behind him. Sting proclaims it is "SHOWTIME!"
Back live inside Wembley Stadium, the lights go out. When they come back on, Sting's old Metallica "Seek and Destroy" theme plays and he makes his way out accompanied by Darby Allin. The two get a rock star reaction coming out. Tony Schiavone yells "It's STING!!!!" as always.
The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one. All four guys immediately start duking it out, with Sting and Darby, of course, dominating the early exchanges. We see a graphic flash on the screen informing us that AEW ALL IN is trending number one worldwide right now on Twitter (X).
Prince Nana tries getting involved but Sting pulls out a cricket bat .. you know, because of London. Darby and Sting each put on special jackets covered in thumbtacks. Sting hits a big Stinger Splash on Swerve and Nana in opposing corners over-and-over again. Darby Allin does back-splashes behind him with the thumbtack jacket on.
Christian Cage re-enters the ring and helps Swerve fight back into the offensive lead. They take the thumbtack jackets off of Sting and Darby. They fight to the floor with them and we get our first coffin teases. No one ends up inside one, however, and the action resumes in the ring. Darby hits a float-over stunner on Swerve on the hard part of the ring apron.
Now Sting leaps off the ring apron and splashes on Swerve on a table, which was supposed to break, but didn't. Poor Sting. The fans chant for him to do it "One more time!" Sting gets back on the ring apron and does a big butt drop / leg drop that puts Swerve through the table this time. The fans roar and begin belting out "You still got it!" and other pro-Sting chants.
Darby unfolds a steel chair and sits Christian down in it. He heads to the top-rope and leaps way into the air for a missile / shotgun dropkick that violently knocks Cage out of the chair. Darby picks up the coffin and leans it against the ring apron. He and Sting then open it up and they throw Cage inside. When they go to slam it shut, Cage fights the door and hangs on.
Luchasaurus comes out from the back and attacks Darby and Sting from behind. Luchasaurus then lawn darts Darby into the coffin door. Nick Wayne rides down with a skateboard. He goes to hit Luchasaurus with it from behind, but gets caught and Luchasaurus headbutts him down to the floor. He then chokeslams Nick Wayne into his skateboard. That had to hurt like crazy.
After that, Luchasaurus picks up the lifeless Nick Wayne and carries him to the back. Sting and Swerve are shown duking it out near the coffin. The coffin lid is shut and Swerve is laid on it. Darby heads to the top-rope backwards. He goes for a Coffin Drop on a coffin, but Swerve moves and he hits what Nigel McGuinness calls a Coffin Flop. Whatever it's called, it looked painful.
In the ring, Sting hits a Stinger Splash on Christian and then whips Swerve into him and hits a Stinger Splash on both of them at the same time. He looks for the Scorpion Death Lock on Christian Cage in the center of the ring. He gets it and Christian screams out in pain. Excalibur reminds us there are no submissions in this match.
Swerve blasts Sting with a chair, but Sting no sells it and the fans chant "You f*cked up!" as Sting pounds on his chest. Christian and Swerve double-team Sting and after a shot with a bat, "The Icon" is laid out. Swerve leaps off the top-rope and connects with a massive double stomp on Sting. They bring the coffin into the ring. They get Sting into the coffin.
Strickland has a bat and he puts it in the coffin with him as a sign of ending "The Icon." Sting uses the bat to keep Swerve from shutting the coffin lid. Sting pops out but Swerve knocks him down. Fans chant "Sting! Sting! Sting!" Cage taunts Darby at ringside as Swerve goes for a 450 splash on Sting in the ring, but misses. Sting hits a Scorpion Death Drop on Swerve on the coffin.
Sting puts Swerve in the coffin. He goes to slam the lid but Swerve's fingers stick out of the lid. Sting slams it on them over and over and then Darby hits a Coffin Drop and they close the lid and pick up the win.
Winners: Darby Allin & Sting
Chris Jericho vs. Will Ospreay
The video package for our next match airs, telling the story leading up to Chris Jericho vs. Will Ospreay. After the package wraps up, we return inside Wembley Stadium in London, England where it's time for one of our final three matches of the show.
We return inside the stadium where we see a concert area set up. Fozzy appears and begins performing "Judas in My Mind" live in front of 80,000+ fans. Chris Jericho then makes his way down to the ring for our next match.
Will Ospreay's theme hits and he makes his way out accompanied by Don Callis. The crowd is super into Will Ospreay here in London. He settles in the ring and it's time for the GOAT vs. BILLY GOAT showdown.
The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one. We see some good back-and-forth action to get this one underway. Jericho settles into the offensive lead after hitting a wild suplex on Ospreay on the hard part of the ring apron.
Back in the ring, we see Jericho connect with a Codebreaker and then looks to finish Ospreay off, but he hangs in there. Jericho starts heeling on the crowd, who are clearly supporting Ospreay in this one.
"The Aeriel Assassin" starts to take flight, connecting with some wild high-spots. Back in the ring, he hits an Os-cutter for a close near fall. He goes for another but Jericho catches him leaping backwards with another codebreaker.
After some more back-and-forth action between the two, we see Sammy Guevara sneak in a shot with Floyd the baseball bat as Don Callis was on the ring apron jawing with the referee. The action continues and we see Ospreay out in the Liontamer /. Walls of Jericho. He hangs in there and begins fighting back.
Now we see Ospreay take over and he begins hitting trademark spot after trademark spot before ultimately finishing off Jericho for the victory in an impressive outing. After the match, Sammy Guevara tries to console Jericho in the ring, but Jericho wants nothing to do with it. He walks off and leaves Guevara alone in the ring.
Winner: Will Ospreay

AEW Trios Championship (House Rules)
The House Of Black (C) vs. The Acclaimed & "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn
It's time for more championship action, as the video package airs to set the stage for the AEW Trios Championship bout pitting The House of Black against The Acclaimed and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn.
The video package wraps up and we return live inside Wembley Stadium where the lights go out. When they come back on, the theme for The House of Black hits and out accompanied by Julia Hart in special tribute ring gear for Bray Wyatt, comes Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews.
After the champs settle into the ring, their music dies down and then we hear the siren to kick off the familiar sounds of the entrance theme song for The Acclaimed. Out comes Max Caster freestyle rapping as always. He hits a bunch of local UK references for cheap pops. Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn wrap up the entrance.
Now it's time for our next match of the day here at AEW ALL IN 2023. The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with what will be a special House Rules bout between The House of Black and The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. They choose No Holds Barred to be the gimmick for this House Rules bout.
With that said, the bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with this one. Within seconds, we see Malakai Black connect with a big moonsault on Caster. Buddy Matthews works over Bowens in the ring. Matthews hits a splash from the ring to the floor to take out Caster and Bowens.
"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn amps up for a dive, but stops and sees Black and Matthews in front of him on the apron. Behind him is Brody King. Caster and Bowens work over Black and Matthews as Gunn sends Brody to the floor. He gets ready for a dive again but this time Julia Hart pops on the ring apron to stop him.
Gunn yells "Suck my d*ck!" while doing the suck it crotch-chop. He takes her down and holds her legs up. Bowens heads to the top-rope and connects with a scissor me timbers.
After some more back-and-forth action, we see back-to-back Mic Drops from The Acclaimed, who double-cover with Gunn holding on top of them, to pick up the win to become the new AEW Trios Champions. We see Mercedes Mone's reaction to the win in the crowd.
Once the match wraps up, The Acclaimed's theme stops. The House of Black enter the ring with the belts and respectfully hand them over. Anthony Bowens says he promised to give Billy Gunn a return to the championship level.
He says he knows Gunn came here as the "Bad Ass" but he promised the biggest scissor party on earth. He tells the fans to throw their sccisors up and then he says, "Scissor me, Daddy Ass!" Gunn obliges and The Acclaimed theme hits again.
Winners and NEW AEW Trios Champions: The Acclaimed & "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn

MJF (C) vs. Adam Cole
It's main event time ... BAY-BAY!
The pre-match video package airs now to tell the story of the "Better Than You Bay-Bay" bro-mance between MJF and Adam Cole leading up to today's AEW ALL IN 2023 main event. After it wraps up, we return inside Wembley Stadium in London for our final match of ALL IN 2023.
Adam Cole makes his way out first. He does a pretty basic, normal entrance, with the crowd loudly doing the "BOOM" and "Adam Cole BAY-BAY" stuff with him. He settles inside the squared circle and his entrance theme dies down.
Now the lights go down and out. When they come back on, we hear some pre-amble music playing as a throne, "Macho King" Randy Savage-style, is carried out with women kneeling all the way down the entrance bowing up and down with their hands as MJF with a fancy robe and devil mask on is carried to the ring.
The throne stops and the music does as well. MJF removes the devil mask and his usual theme hits. The fans in London came up with some kind of chant or song to do to it. He smiles and heads to the ring with the commentators saying despite him turning over a leaf as a human being, his ego is still very much in-tact.
Both the champion and the challenger are in the ring now. "The Dapper Yapper" Justin Roberts handles the formal pre-match ring introductions for each. We see them stare each other down after the bell sounds. MJF and Adam Cole talk respectfully off-mic to each other and then they each head out to the floor.
MJF and Adam Cole pull their "Better Than You Bay-Bay" sleeveless t-shirts out from under the ring. They put them back on, shake hands, and now they begin getting after it. We see both guys have their moments as they are slow to get started. Adam Cole gets the better of him once and MJF smirks. MJF then leads the fans in a "Sportsmanship!" chant before slapping Cole with a cheap-shot and celebrating.
Cole looks mad. He gets up. MJF tries to shake his hand but Cole wants none of it. He smacks the ever-loving sh*t out of MJF in return. Things only get worse from there, as they pretend to still be buddies but more and more show vengeful type antics, hair-pulling, cheap shots, and other rule breaks. Cole yanks MJF down and poses to the crowd, who actually boos him.
Adam Cole settles into the offensive lead for a bit, but then MJF starts doing under-handed stuff to take over. MJF then knocks Cole out to the floor and builds up like he's gonna do a dive, but he stops like a kid afraid to jump into the pool and decides against it. Cole gets in the ring and super kicks MJF and then yells at him that they may be friends but says he's better than him. And he doesn't say it nice.
Friedman gets to his knees and is stewing mad. He takes his "Better Than You Bay-Bay" shirt off and gets more mad. Cole knocks him down and poses and the fans boo the hell out of him. Cole goes for another spot but MJF avoids it and now he unloads his rage on his friend / opponent. He gets on Cole in the corner and bites away at him.
MJF and Cole end up on the floor where we see Cole hit an insane brainbuster on MJF on the bottom half of the steel steps. Cole immediately looks concerned as MJF is shown lifeless. He heads in the ring and MJF is motionless as the ref gets to the count of nine before MJF leaps into the ring out of nowhere just in time.
Friedman fights into the offensive driver's seat now and he beats Cole down. Out on the floor, he clears off the commentary desk and yells out loud to himself that he's got to do it. He hoists Cole up for a pile driver through the table, but decides he can't do it. Cole ends up fighting back and he ends up connecting with one of his own, clearly not putting their friendship as high up as MJF is. The fans chant "Assh*le!" at him afterwards.
Back in the ring, the two fight back and they yell out "Double clothesline!" They each hit the ropes and connect with a clothesline at the same time. They land with a hand on the other. The ref actually counts the pin and says it's a double pin. He tells Justin Roberts to announce that this match has ended in a double pin fall draw. Cole gets on the mic and says no way. He tells MJF he wants five more minutes. Excalibur reminds us that MJF denied this request last time.
Once again, MJF isn't interested. However, not because he doesn't want to, but because five minutes isn't enough. He says they're going until they have a winner in Wembley. The bell sounds again and the two start duking it out again. They each come close to winning and Roderick Strong runs out, but when all is said and done, MJF gets the win. Adam Cole is having trouble accepting it. MJF goes out and grabs the ROH tag titles and says, "We've still got these!"
He tells Cole he knew the title always meant more and that he was just a fake piece of sh*t. He says it was always about the title, then just take it. He gives the AEW title to him and stands up and turns around with his arms out-stretched. He tells Cole to just hit him. Strong jumps on the apron and yells that he's his real friend. Cole stands up but won't hit MJF. Instead the two hug it out for a big pop.
Winner and STILL AEW World Champion: MJF
