AEW Dark: Elevation Recap: Tag Team Main Event, Brian Pillman Jr. In Action

Hello again everyone, and welcome back to the Rajah.Com recap of AEW Dark: Elevation!

The latest episode of AEW Dark: Elevation featured Jurassic Express, Riho, The Acclaimed, and more. Chdeck it out:

AEW Dark: Elevation

-Tony Schiavone welcomes all of the viewers to Atlanta, and introduces his broadcast colleagues, Mark Henry and Eddie Kingston.
-Riho makes her way down the ramp, and it’s time for the opening match!

Riho vs. Angelica Risk

Both women size each other up for a moment, until Riho grabs the arm of Risk. Riho uses her agility to take Risk into the corner, but Angelica turns the tables, and floors Riho. Angelica follows up with a rear view in the corner, and drags Riho to the ropes, then uses innovative offense to stand on Riho. Angelica tries a pin, and Riho quickly kicks out, then starts to fire up. Riho hits a drop toe-hold, and sends Angelica into the ropes, then follows up with a 619! Riho runs to the top rope, and misfires on a missile dropkick, allowing Risk to take control once again. Angelica nails a DDT, and tries a pair of covers, but Riho won’t go away. Angelica tries more offense, but Riho escapes, and nails a northern lights suplex! Riho follows up with Double Knee’s, and makes the cover for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Riho

-Trio’s action is up next, and The Wingmen are out first.

The Wingmen vs. Dustin Rhodes, Lee Johnson, & Brock Anderson

Johnson kicks off the bout against Peter Avalon, who grabs a hold on Lee right away. Johnson and Avalon exchange moves at a rapid pace, until Johnson nails a pair of arm drag takedowns. Brock Anderson tags in, and blasts Avalon with a knee strike, who tags out to JD Drake. Drake and Anderson slug it out, until JD drops Anderson, and tries to toss Brock to the floor. Ryan Nemeth makes his presence felt behind the referees back, as Cezar Bononi tags in, and controls Anderson in the ring. Drake tags back in, and hits a cannonball splash, followed by a frog splash from Avalon. JD Drake keeps the pressure on, and goes for a DDT, but Anderson blocks the attempt! Brock spikes JD with a DDT, and makes the tag to Dustin Rhodes, who is on fire! Dustin works on Avalon, as well as Bononi, and even JD Drake! Lee Johnson tags in, and takes down Bononi, as well as Avalon with a dive! Rhodes tags back in, and hits JD Drake with Cross-Rhodes for the win.

Winner: The Nightmare Family

Serpentico vs. Brian Pillman Jr.

Seprntico gets things going with a quick offensive attack, and controls the early portion of the match with strike after strike, until pulling out a thunderous sidewinder! Serpentico applies a rear naked choke, and squeezes the neck of Pillman, until Brian begins to fire up. Pillman hits a forearm splash, followed by a forearm tackle, and even a jackhammer, then tries a pin. Serpentico kicks out, and runs to the top rope, where Brian cuts him off. Both men exchange strikes on the top rope, until Serpentico sends Pillman flying, and follows up with a 450 splash. Serpentico hooks the leg for a cover, but Pillman has enough left in the tank to kick out. Luther gets involved from the outside, and tries to throw Serpentico onto Pillman, but the attempt fails! Serpentico rolls into the ring, and Brian heads to the top rope, then picks up the victory with a Springboard Clothesline for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Brian Pillman Jr.

Emi Sakura & The Bunny vs. Abandon & Ryo Mizunami

Abandon and The Bunny gets things going with a tie up, until The Bunny hits abandon with a shot to the midsection. Abandon quickly shakes it off, and answers back with a straight right hand, followed by an X-Factor. Abandon keeps the pressure on, and goes for an irish whip, but The Bunny tags out. Sakura tags in on one side, while Mizuanmi tags in on the other, and Ryo unleashes numerous chops! The Bunny runs in, and catches a few chops, allowing Emi to recover. Sakura fires up, and hits a splash in the corner, then gets scared by Abadon. Emi focuses on Ryo in the ring, and grabs a dragon sleeper, until Mizunami elbows her way out. Mizunami tags in Abadon, as The Bunny tags in on the opposite side, and gets blasted with an elbow strike. The Bunny stays in the match with a hard strike of her own, but Abadon rebounds, and hits a thunderous DDT variation for the win.

Winner: Abadon & Ryo Mizunami

Jurassic Express vs. Brandon & Brent Tate

Jungle Boy and Brent Tate battle it out in the early portion of the match, until Jungle Boy picks up the pace with consecutive takedowns. Jungle Boy nails Brent with a back breaker, and tries a pin, but Brandon makes the save. The Tate brothers control Jungle Boy, until Luchasuarus makes the hot tag! The big man rag dolls his smaller opponents, and easily takes down both men, then hits a double chokeslam for good measure! Jungle Boy tags in, and levels Tate with an assisted sit-out power-bomb for the win.

Winner: Jurassic Express

The Acclaimed vs. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo

Max Caster gets the match going with Shawn Dean, and quickly tags in Anthony Bowens. All four men enter the ring, and the face duo rocks The Acclaimed with drop kicks. After taking a moment to fire up the crowd, Dean and Bravo get back to the task at hand in the corner of the ring. Dean and Bravo make quick tags, and nearly put away Bowens, but Anthony is to strong. Max Caster gets involved from the apron, allowing Bowens to blast Bravo with a knee strike. Caster tags in, and nails The Mic Drop, then hooks the leg of Bravo for the win.

Winner: The Acclaimed
