AEW Dynamite Quick Recap February 9, 2022
Matches Tonight: Six (approx. 56 minutes)
- 20-Minute Singles Match: Wardlow w/ Shawn Spears vs The Blade. Wardlow: 4 belly to belly's, two stalling suplexes, and four consecutive powerbombs. That's the match. Wardlow won in dominating fashion. 8:23-8:27pm EST.
- Face of the Revolution Qualifying Singles Match: Keith Lee vs Isaiah Kassidy w/ Private Party & Matt Hardy. Lee completely dominated and was booked like a beast, often swatting Kassidy out of the air with big, powerful blows. Lee picked up the win and will advance. 8:45-8:53pm EST.
- 20-Minute Tag Team Match: FTR w/ Tully Blanchard vs CM Punk & Jon Moxley. Fantastic match. Absolutely fantastic ending that saw Punk & Mox hit the GTS/Paradigm Shift simultaneously to pick up the win. 9:02-9:21pm EST.
- 20-Minute TBS Championship Match: Jade Cargill vs AQA. Cargill dominated the first few minutes, but AQA put on some truly impressive offense the latter half of the match, albeit in a losing effort as Cargill retained. 9:27-9:35pm EST.
- 5-Minute Professor's Rookie Challenge: "Professor" Serena Deeb vs Katie Arquette. Deeb introduced this new 5-minute challenge match and won it in sixty seconds. 9:38-9:39pm EST.
- AEW Championship Texas Death Match Main Event: Hangman Page(c) vs . Bloody good, and rather bloody, match that saw Page win by knockout as Archer failed to answer the ref's ten count. Good match, great episode tonight. 9:44-10:00pm EST.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
- The Pinnacle, Sting & Allin, Punk: We opened our show with the Pinnacle celebrating, followed by MJF cutting yet another great heel promo on the mic. He offered a challenge to Punk--if Punk and a partner of his choosing, sans Sting or Darby Allin, can defeat the FTR then Punk gets a shot against MJF at any time and any place. 8:01-8:15pm EST.
- Inner (Broken) Circle: Sammy Guevara quit the Inner Circle, and Santana & Ortiz will battle Jericho & Hager next week on Dynamite, seemingly reducing the Inner Circle to a tag team now. 8:28-8:41pm EST.
- Big Reveals/Debuts: NJPW's Jay White appeared on tonight's program. Keith Lee made his debut. That's it.
