AEW Files New Trademark For Three Interesting Terms

On Friday, November 14th, AEW filed new trademarks for the terms “Watch AEW,” “AEW Spring Breakthru,” and “Spring Breakthru,” according to a report from Fightful.com. All three trademarks are intended for entertainment services.

Currently, there is no information on how AEW plans to use these trademarks. However, ROH used the hashtag #WatchROH during the last couple of years of their ownership by Sinclair Broadcasting, and “Watch AEW” appears to follow a similar concept. The first edition of Spring Breakthru took place on April 16-17, 2025, in Boston, and this recent trademark filing suggests that another edition may be planned for 2026. AEW had previously filed for trademarks on “Spring Breakthru,” and this latest filing seems to involve merchandising purposes as well.

Below are the descriptions submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO):

“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
