Last month, AEW star Ricochet found himself in the middle of social media drama when he responded to a critical post by stating that he was glad that she had multiple sclerosis (MS). Ricochet, who is no stranger to going at it with fans on X, eventually removed his response and issued an apology.
Reports indicated that AEW did not force him to issue the apology while Dave Meltzer specifically reported that a "friend" of Ricochet's contacted him and convinced him that his reply was in poor taste and that he should delete the post and offer the apology.
During yesterday's post-AEW Dynasty media scrum, President Tony Khan was asked about Ricochet's conduct and seemed to infer that AEW's policies were at least indirectly responsible:
"I did, and I had a conversation with him. I have a good conversation and a frank talk. That was not acceptable, and I think that was communicated. We have a policy and continues to be a policy in place for such things, and that violated it. There is no place for that in wrestling or anywhere. I do appreciate you asking, and we’ve tried to move past that, but thank you for asking."
