It was quickly deemed that the injury was legitimate and not for storyline purposes and in fact, the match itself was cut short as a result. Soon thereafter, a new report emerged that painted a bleak picture on the extent of the injury.
-- Fightfulselect.com is now reporting that Hobbs' injury is indeed significant and it will require surgery. The procedure is expected to happen imminently and may have already taken place. It's currently unknown how long he will be sidelined but obviously with surgery on the table, he isn't expected back anytime soon.
