AEW Officially Announces Redemption PPV Set To Take Place This Summer In Canada

AEW has officially announced a new PPV on their schedule, adding "Redemption" to the slate in July.

First announced by The Toronto Sun, Redemption will take place on the 26th live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It will be the first AEW PPV in the city with Khan stating the following:

"Montreal’s one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world. There’s such a rich history of professional wrestling. This will be a special event. It’s the first-ever AEW Redemption and it’s also the first-ever AEW pay-per-view in Montreal."

"The crowds have been so fantastic when we’ve done AEW in Montreal. I’ve wanted to bring a pay-per-view to Montreal for years."

Khan also teased that hardcore legend and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will be making an appearance:

There’s a good chance Mick could come. He’s doing a lot of the AEW events, and I’m sure he’s going to want to be there. I can’t say 100% for certain, but I think there’s a very high likelihood that Mick will be attending and hosting the event in Montreal."

'I’m a huge fan of Mick,” Khan said. “I’ve grown up watching him. Cactus Jack was one of my favourite villains in my childhood, and I’m really excited to have Cactus Jack coming back to TBS now as part of AEW with Mick Foley joining the team."
